laugh.gif Actually there's algorithm in Nexus. You try focus in one point then move away. It will force refocus. But after it focus if no big movement, it will straight capture the shot without AF. Now if I need steady, I'll hold the shutter button before capturing.

I saw you typed Sacrifice speed over quality. You edited right???

That's the problem, it auto detect for re-focus, meant that once you move away from focused object, actually took longer time as it need to detect out-of-focus, then auto focus, and user to aware that it's in-focus and press shutter. And most frustrated moment are that when you press shutter button on screen, you phone may shake and come out with blur image. Never touch Xperia S before but from review, it AF after user press shutter button, thus it will have focused image while fast enough. Any Xperia S camera app available !????

Yup, i edit it after i read through it after posted and realized i reversed the quality n speed tongue.gif

Sorry if you felt offending, just that am quite frustrated with the GNex camera, as the replacement generation devices GNex had worser experience on camera ( for me ) vmad.gif

No offence - this is uesless ranting. how can you ever compare a phone camera to normal camera
*
Well, i'm just saying that the 'speed over quality' trend on latest power house just not my cup of tea. I didnt comparing phone camera to digital camera or even DSLR ( dont think i mentioned DC or DSLR ), but just that while same 8MP shooter S2 had better quality over S3, and older slower phone had better auto focusing than latest phone, am speechless. Prefer slower but higher quality than faster but lower quality, and worst both HTC and Samsung claimed they had better image quality in their latest devices, while i tested both and said other wise.

after all this is a PHONE not camera, if u not satisfy with the quality u can always use camera/other phone, for me this photo quality is good enough as my eyes are not that sharp to spot all the bad part in a pic  thumbup.gif

I always thought forum are about discussion and sharing, hence i sharing my view and experience. I always go into deep discussion/argument with my friend that in the eyes of other ppl as we are fighting, but we actually just too serious.

Check my year of joined and total posts, coz hardly can find ppl serious in discussion, back to XDA . . . . whistling.gif
