AMD Socket-939/AM2 Overclocking Database
for Athlon64, Athlon64 FX & Opteron



Rules and requirements:
1. Only 1 post each for one system.
2. One single screenshot of SP2004/Prime95, two CPU-Z (each showing CPU and RAM properties) is required.
3. CPU stepping is a must! Check for your CPU stepping on top of your processor. Also include informations such as BIOS set CPU voltage & cooling method.
4. Include other necessary informations such as motherboard type, memory configuration.
5. Only results with at least 8 hours prime stable will be accepted. Set your SP2004/Prime95 to run custom test with 8-512K in-place FFT (for CPU with 512KB L2 cache) or 8-1024K in-place FFT (for CPU with 1MB L2 cache) or BLEND test.
6. All of the requirements above are mandatory.

haha....

this database purpose is not to show who's the best, it's more to share the results. that's why we would need the steppings, for reference purpose. we can refer to the frequency of the stepping that can regularly do good speeds.

mazda, need 8 hours or more....

your athlon64 haven't finished not even 1 loop of prime yet.

use custom test, min 8K, max 512K, in-place FFT.

run the stress with at least 8 hours.... or you can let your test finish 1 loop

to know that the test already pass 1 loop.... check out the first set of test, it starts with 8K. it will finish a complete loop when the test begin again at 8K.

- stepping (overclockers always pay attention to their cpu steppings)

I don't need any proof.

If you don't already know.... burn-in is a process in speed binning. Somehow burn-in method done by users refined what's done at the factory. So... it depends on luck whether you get big, small or no improvement at all.

I should say that it's better to trust of what we do, not of what we see tongue.gif

Regarding the voltage.... the rationale behind it was, to get the result at the particular setup that we wanted. For example, we want the cpu to run at 2500mhz at 1.4v.... that is the setting that we want, not 1.36V or 1.41v eventhough the reading shows different value.
