Hi everyone. Buying new laptop for my brother. Please recommend best gaming laptop for buck. Thanks Guys.
Brand : Any brand except Acer, prefer ASUS Budget range: RM 3K and below. Purpose : Gaming. Example FSX
Note: Prefer I7 because i play FSX more with the best GPU which can fit the budget.

QUOTE(PhungTM @ Aug 6 2012, 04:37 PM) Best right now: Lenovo Y480, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2499[JBL], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, FreeDOS Asus N56Vz-S3088V, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT650M@RM2699[Bang&Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB, W7HP, subwoofer and backpack Y480 is good choice but i scared to the overheat HD issue because of the placement of HD near to heat pipe. Is it ok? It there any 15" screen? Because prefer bigger screen.

QUOTE(PhungTM @ Aug 6 2012, 05:08 PM) Its true that there is the heat issue regarding the Lenovo Y480 but that doesn't stop people from buying it anyway You can get a cooling fan if it helps Asus N56VZ is 15". Another 15" laptop you can consider: Dell Inspiron 15R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M@RM2799, 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional The rest with better GPU exceeds your budget Still not confidence which one should i take. Y480 is good one but it 14" screen. Y580 is way too expensive. Asus N56VZ don't look as good as Y480 and Dell 15R SE. Dell 15R SE is good one but the GPU is AMD. I prefer Nvidia more.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 8 2012, 11:00 AM) Price - 15R SE cause its the cheapest Spec- Y580 since it has a GTX-level GPU Price/Performance- Y580 Durability- depends on how user takes care of his/her laptop Temperature- All laptops will get hot when on load Warranty- Dell Think i should go for Y580, even know i prefer Asus more. Just shame that Asus lose to lenovo on design, spec and price.. Anyone know where i can get this laptop at Sibu?
