1. Preferred Brand: Any 2. Budget: <RM 3500 3. Usage: College assignment, watching movie, music, light entertainment 4. Preferred laptop/screen size: Less than 17", preferably 14 or 15.6"
I am considering ASUS A45VM-SX029V but I am not sure if it's a good deal. Thanks

QUOTE(PhungTM @ Aug 22 2012, 04:00 PM) No gaming? Your budget is high for a non-heavy usage. If you like the Asus A45VM then go for it I'm thinking of buying a relatively high-end laptop so that I can use it for like 4 years or so and still not be outdated lol.

Is it worth getting 3rd generation i7-3610QM (2.3GHz, Turbo 3.3GHz, 6M cache) instead of 3rd generation i5-3210M (2.5GHz, Turbo 3GHz, 3M cache) for additional RM 500?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 23 2012, 09:29 PM) Depends on your usage College use, watching movie, very light gaming. I plan to use it for at least 4 years and above..

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 23 2012, 09:36 PM) "college use" is too general... An engineering student will use different programs compared to those of science students etc. Some require more CPU power, whereas some barely uses it Math major. I am not sure what program I will use though.. Still new lol.

I wonder is it worth RM500 more to get a i7-3610QM (2.3 GHz 6M) rather than a i5-3210M (2.5 GHz 3M)
