Hi all, I've just came back from Tokyo, my 3 weeks holiday. Before I flew, I changed my RM at the money changer to Yen. The rate was 3.34 if not mistaken. But I ran out of money in Japan and withdraw through ATM machine. But seems like withdrawing from there seems cheaper (o.O)
At first I changed every 30K yen for RM1017.
But after 3 weeks I withdraw 30K from the ATM for RM1004.
Maybe it's the rate during that time, but I have no idea. Maybe withdrawing and changing money here seems like no big difference.

Anyway, overall I spent about RM1300 for my return trip, and RM7K for 3 weeks in Tokyo (My sister lived there, so I stayed with her).

I enjoyed my trip there, especially Disney Sea! But I regretted because we had to queue up so long and didn't know how to use the fast pass. Heard from my friend that I can just use the barcode on my ticket to get 6 fast pass for certain games in between 2 hours of each games. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Asakusa is a nice place if you like to see handicrafts, souvenirs and delicacies like cakes, cookies etc. 20 minutes walk from Asakusa Kaminarimon Temple you can reach Tokyo Skytree. There's a nice shopping mall there too.

For Sakura sightings we went to Ueno Park and Shinjuku gyoen.

For shopping, Harajuku and Shibuya. Harajuku is cheaper compared to Shibuya. Harajuku is lolita and J rock fashion, meanwhile in Shibuya you will see few shopping malls including Forever 21 xD Hachikou dog is in front of the Shibuya station.

For cute foods, you can find it at Tokyo Tower and Ikebukuro xD

For meals, I spent averagely 500 yen per meal.

Transport need about 1000 yen below per day (for me).

Despite my enjoyable trip, I've also learnt more about their culture. It is considered rude to drink / eat and walk anywhere. So I had to hold my thirst while shopping (in the cold, and my lips were dried up too )

I've also learnt that Japanese people are impatient. The other day we took pictures at Sanrio Land. While I was taking photo of my sister, she took a long time to wave goodbye to the mascot. When it was my turn to take the picture, the usher told the group behind me to go next. But I asked my sister to hurry and take my picture before I have no chance. Then the japanese said us "shitsurei" rude.

There's another time when I was lining up to pay my item at the cashier, a lady accidentally pushed me from behind and broke a glass. She repeatly said "gomen nasai " but I just stood there and look (Because i don't know if i should apologize also or not) Then the cashier seems like dislikes me by her expression.

In my own personal opinion, if we don't speak good japanese or blur at times when asking for directions, they may lose their patience or maybe they don't really like gaijin. Maybe I'm too sensitive or what, I don't know. But my sister kept commenting about my actions and responds. For example, sometimes after I paid for my item that I purchased, I will say arigatou and smile. But after I walked out the shop, they said "take care" but I didn't respond because my japanese listening is not so good. I was indirectly being rude for not responding, and also sometimes I accidentally being rude for not knowing how to behave when interacting with japanese people.
