Need to know where u r from?  As said again, for good reasonable price go for none chain home appliance outlet such as SenQ, Harvey, Courts etc. They were explosively expensive. Go for dealer shop with large LG signboard or check out the LG Msia web page, go for LM 6700 then on top right search for dealers near you. That's what I did.

Yesterday I discover that, though it's user manual booklet enclosed is not much help, the users @ the home menu is very informative. You guys can check it out. For those unsure or do not know how to calibrate the TV there is this user friendly steps by steps calibration for your adjustment or tuning to your liking.

BTW, I just tested 2D to 3D conversion is pretty good too. You can even adjust depth of 3D.

New things to discover everyday. It's so cool to read Facebook on TV. Now gonna to learn how to sync it to my Android Phone & IPad.
The magic remote is now easy to use after several practicing.
*
btw just for ure info on discussing discounts

47LM6700 is at RM4750, 47LM7600 is around RM6050 and 47LM8600 is around RM6300.

so u can show ure middle finger to all the TBM and harvey norman who puts a price tag of RM7999 for 47LM7600 and most probably then the sales guy "says oh this is before discount".. y not just start at RM1m and then bargain all the way down if thats the case.

so far only show units i see is the TBM in bangsar. Harvey Norman all no afaik .

personally i would say its either the 6700 or 8600 is the way to go.
y?? cause u get all the other extra features.. and a good app running smooth with the dual core.
forget so much about the screen quality refresh rate etc.. . dont bother with the best since all of them will come crashing down with oled releasing end of the year... it will be end of plasma true black, and lcd with led backlighting contrast etc. So few years down the road everybody will be having the perfect oleds at a cheaper price.

So, you bought 55LM7600 for 7K?? Where??  Or you selling?
I have a LG Raya Promotion Brochure from SenHeng, stating RM12,999. Even after discount, still around 10k...

At least provide some facts or source...no point acting secretive here... Welcome to forum...

QUOTE(Soukarin @ Aug 8 2012, 12:53 AM)
Actually the Raya Promotion brochure is from official LG Malaysia...
I bet some of you guys have it from other electric stores too.
And it's on LG Msia website too...

My nick and rep is already a source of facts.

if u actually start reading abit of this thread and others u would have realized a few things.
but then again u're just lazy and want to be spoonfed.

Welcome to adulthood. Be more responsible. Gave you a big hint. Go and ask around based on that price. So instead wasting time and questioning ppl who tried to help u. Help ureself

RM7,000 for 55", Model LM7600??
I have read through this whole thread, I'm not lazy, just want to get clarified.

Added on August 8, 2012, 1:33 am

I'm not questioning you, I just want to make things clear.
I was comparing between 55LM6200(RM7200) and 55LM6700(8900).
Then u came with higher specs compared to these 2 models but with way lower price....so I just want to know and clarify further. Your point just doesn't make sense to me.....
No offence.
*
dude its not exactly 7k.. i was told around that region but i know for a fact 47LM7600 is at 6050. This was the one i ranted about that TBM started at RM7999, i got a 47LM6700 at RM4750 with 6 glasses (it comes with it) here at MY.

Go to ure shop. and Ask again. Better yet from a owner of a shop that u know. Y u think all hardware shop has so many ppl working for them.. running 24/7 aircond.. few shop lots.. heck few stories.
U think they are making Rm100-200 for every product they sell?? Their margin is way higher.

Lazy as in seriously go around shops. Alot of them dont stock and will dont mind earning abit since its just order and deliver. Ask the shop owners if u can.

Take note the prob with LG is. The shop's etc are all dumbass. The LM in panel quality is about Samsung 5series or Sony EX72 level. They dont compete with both the 7,8 and hx series. LG price point is more on design and the Smart TV and other benefits like dual screen gameplay and non powered 3d lenses. Malaysian shop's and LG to a point priced it to compete thinking ppl here are stupid.

Added on August 8, 2012, 10:01 amOk here is me helping. Called and checked. Cost price is RM7400.

icic..thx Morpheus2be.

yup.im considering whether wana buy new model or old model.
either 47LM6700( best RM4600) or 47LW5700 (Best RM3500)..

need ur advice,al sifu..
thx

Input on some thoughts on what i went with.

well i went for LM6700 instead of higher.

Lm7600 is higher refresh rate
LM8600 has dual core so technically faster browsing etc handling apps. ( but for the extra price think buying a media player is far better lol)
LM9600 has some tech nano tech on the led.. something in the lines how oled works .. ( dont really know much about this)

LW5700 just missing the design on the borderless and inbuilt wifi compared to LM6700.

So thinking back on how oled is coming out and etc. LW5700 spec is current industry standards or so to speak for a 3dtv. Wifi for streaming will always sux compared to a dedicated ethernet connection. So its more of a design issue. Do u think RM1100 extra is worth it?? Is paying 31.4% more for borderless design worth it?? Again depends on how u position ureself on how long u want this tv to last. Theres no second value on tv or real value on design. For tech pic etc... Think till oled comes out whatever tech now will be obselete so no point paying for it. The wifi on the LM6700 ihas its own capability to connect directly to ure device. Not sure the value on this unless LG has a mirror streaming tech like appletv and ios devices.

for me personally LM6700 for me was perfect for my room cause of the design. The tv is hooked up to a wallpaper designed cabinet like greyish color so it blend well.

so hope this helps in ure buying process. Happy buyin.

BTW, anyone spotted any difference with the firmware update? I know it added Trumotion & Judder adjustment button. Me thinks after adjusting Trumotion the quality of pic improvise & better.

Meantime, good news is LG just announce that they will add in 3D games apps soon (in Sept) in their apps rich collection.

Hi, on my LM6700 when I played the .mkv/.mp4 movie from my NAS via dlna, the *.srt subtitles file can't be load hence if I want to watch movie with subtitles I have to copy it to my usb drive then plug it in via the tv usb port.
This is kinda weird as since the tv can load a few Gb movie files smoothly but can't load a around 100kb subtitles file.
Anyone facing this problems and has any solutions?
*
its a soft player issue and more on the user issue for not knowing anything about containers.

y dont u use mkvmerge and mux the subs into the mkv. should take about 2-3 minutes

If it was ripped properly it should be in it. Problem is when u take the small ones the rip from a encode and not directly from the blu-ray.

Btw it should be the same as the 2d. Try subscene, Addic7ted etc.

Look for same encodes/ subs that has the same video length and fps

Personally think this is the best calibration i also find compared to a few others on the net
Only thing i did more was disable true motion and set sharpness to 25 for V&H.
Works perfectly with astro on dim/well lite area and appletv and my sharp 3d bd player.

Everyone who got LM series is impressed of its Audio. So slim yet audio so clear , loud, and plenty of adjustment to tune. It's one of its best features. Honest!
eh no its terrible. Its just pure treble. No bass at all. But the default setting for audio was really bad till u set it as vivid. btw eh where got so many adjustments. Main ones are just the equalizer.

http://www.lg.com/my/home-audio-systems/lg-NB3520A

to compensate. So far so good. Panasonic has a better soundbar but just wanted everything to work with simplylink.

Using this when watching astro.

Mine has both bass and treble setting but both are useless. You can hardly notice the difference even after I set both to the maximum  doh.gif
My previous TV wasn't a LG. When you suddenly switch to this TV, you really can notice the subpar sound coming out from this TV  doh.gif    And I went back to the showroom last night where I bought my LS4600 LED TV and played with a few different TV sets. And the sound quality of LM6700 is not much better than my LS4600. If you play it with LG demo video, the sound is all clear and loud. But if you use it to watch Astro Beyond SD or HD channel, or DVD, it is not so nice anymore. The difference is really noticeable if you compare it to a SONY or Samsung LED TV (which I did).

Anyway, may I know how much did you buy this soundbar for ?

Got it singapore for rm1120roughly. Didnt nego was in a rush.Think it was best denki.Theres one more model think arnd rm600 without the subwoofer. Wasnt available.

again dunno what u mean by it being good.

I test all my encodes for SOX, LFE especially on AAC encodes.
On my ipad with my headset i get to hear everything. On the LG nada except in DD5.1 with my HT system.

Thats the reason y my first few encodes i didnt find the Overnormalization fault. This is why i was pissed with the LG. Had to reencode and found out when i listen it on the ipad i found the problem. Overnormalization aka white noise.

My comparison is my pioneer XG 42. I know its not slim but that 6 year old tv default speakers to the LM6700 was like a super downgrade.

Btw good audio sources ure suppose to hear it as it was recorded. The voice control etc serves no purpose for me other han distorting audio source.

btw my arguement abt it being bad is not comparing with other the slim tv or even using slim tv to lg benefit. its from what i hear to what i had tells me its bad.

Gosh...we were comparing on TV speaker. Not other external audio speaker etc. likewise its advisable to get sound bar if one needed better audio or sound of real 5.1 or 2.1 or whatsoever. For me it works fine as a STEREO speaker. Of course which flat tv gave super boost bass?
*
Oops. Will explain this step by step.

Ok i do encoding from true source normally TrueHD or DTS-MA core. The encodes i do a itunes based so its a AAC-LC stereo and Dolby Digital II.

What i meant was i was always testing my encodes on the TV via HT on dolby digital 5.1 before i do releases.
Releases mean releases my encodes to the public. The way i do encodes was to break each channel to single wave and mux them with a spectogram and normalize each wave on it. Would this for AC3 pass-through which is dolby digital 5.1. The AAC is encoded from the high source AC3. The encode would later reduce the bitrate to comply with 384bit for AC3.

What happen recently there was a issue with overnormalization on the AAC which i normally tested on the tv stereo. I couldnt hear it until i tested it out on my ipad with headphones.

Thats how bad this tv is on stereo.

Didnt have this issue with stock speakers from my Pioneer Plasma PDP-428-XG.Currently on stereo this is my default tv for testing instead of the LG.

Hence what i meant how bad the speakers are. I tested on multiple wave on muxed into stereo encodes with normalization. It doesnt pickup a lot of the lower end part of the spectogram.

Those reviewers i doubt even went this far and i only did it to troubleshoot the white noise issue with my encoding.

Encodes were done from pure blu-ray sources for my appletv.

And what i was saying it doesnt matter whether its a flat tv etc. Think Miles is in the same opinion as me. U buy a tv u dont short change with speakers. Do whatever tech u have to make it work. In that regards this is a failure for me.

Its the samething u buy a 1mm thin glass phone like iron man in the future and has all the features but u cant hear the other person talk clearly. Will u let the manufacturer say oh its a thin glass type use a headphone etc?? Its a phone the basic stuff is the mic and speakers should always be excellent regardless of size.

Same thing with tv. Regardless of size the basic function of a tv which is video and audio must be good together.

Just did a encode for MIB 3 from pure source 50gb blu-ray. After 10 hours worth of slogging on video and audio. Guess what again played it on LG. Looks awesome on pic but stock speakers sound crap. Turned on the 3520.. and everything came alive and reproduced exactly as it sounded on the ipad for AAC stereo. Heck i am just comparing it with a stock iphone headphones.

So again dunno where the speakers being good with those reviewers. Must be drunk or LG must have given them something something on the down low.

Wow..that's kinda fast u got MIB 3 on bd? It's xpected to release in US & UK ony on Nov 2012. I know coz I pre order it. Which source u got frm? Bet its China made.

Btw, I read LG can't encode DTS audio due o license or something. Anyway, watching TV programmes especially on Astro beyond or so does not encode DTS audio or Dolby 5.1. I would suggest watching over from bluray player should link to Good AV system. It's fine for us regular viewers to watch only TV programmes. Same goes to other current flat slim TV.
I do admit I'm no tech savvy neither a Hifi enthusiast as I'm just regular viewer. But I definitely watch all my collection of imported BD or DVDs via players with AV audio system to enjoy fullest. Only TV programs through simple TV stereo speakers. So I did not test if it's great with other digital audio encode.
It's good to watch on ORIGinal bluray disc & not steal or download from other unknown source.
No MIB3 look like a eastern indian origin. Languages are all baltic countries and suprisingly full indian languages aka tamil, hindi, telegu etc.

Another Malaysian cynic who is patting his back. Some reality check.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Its good to watched APPROVED blu-rays with a hologram by the local distributor studio and film censorship board and pay the government and the studios who bought the rights for distribution.

Think ure missing the whole picture even when i mentioned to u step by step or u just dont understand what i wrote. LG had a issue on PCM stereo which is what AAC-LC is on its stock speakers.

U can get 47LM6700 for RM4400 in TBM in Old Klang Road with 9 Glasses + Transportation

LM6700 comes with 4 glasses already inside and they give u a party pack combo for another 5.

Advice to use TBM as they really go the extra mile with installation and equip with many additional stuff for wiring etc.

Cons they only offer very cheap prices on nego and cash upfront basis and they have stock for all models.

For 55LM7600cheapest is still Kajang Toon King.
