i saw the price in sen heng computer lol.
pioneer was cheaper than the panasonic. review is so so. panasonic has more function. sound quality still yamaha at the top for soundbars get the panasonic. me loving it far better than the LG. Simply link overated. Panasonic finally makes astro movies sound more indulging. Before on default speakers was dull. HT was overkill. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Sep 17 2012, 08:57 PM |

QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 18 2012, 06:05 PM) Hi guys, Totally ripped off.New 55LM6200 owners here. Actually i only wanna find out about the optical output whether to direct all my devices to the TV & 1 optical input to my philips HTS. Got my answer in this thread. So better use the astro byond coax direct to my HTS too rite? Should have do more homework to get the best price. i bought it from TBM bangsar village for RM6099. Homework only with big retail shop & TBM offer the lowest price. I didnt even read the newspaper last week about the RM5399 price. Demit. Envy you guys with the 6700 sleek design. TV will arrive tomorrow (delay 1 day due to stock availability). Add on wall bracket & 2 pair (initially i thought should be 1 pair) dual play glasses for my kids. So there are kids size 3D glass huh for ~RM40? Will look at the ebay. The adult glass really big when my kids tried them at the showroom. Been aiming philips 5500 due to my HTS (obviously due to it's price) but luckily ended up with you guys LG owners after tech spec comparisons. Just connect HT to optical. Astro Beyond HDMI to ure tv. That will do. Anything connected as input to ure tv will be work with ure HT. LG so far confirmed works on pass-through for PCM,DTS,DD. So no issue. QUOTE(rafayel @ Sep 18 2012, 06:22 PM) My opinion is yes. Only thing with the Sub's put it like next to the sofa instead of infront.Cons for the panasonic. Finger Magnet surface. |

QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 18 2012, 06:43 PM) Thanks. I thought i read earlier about the TV unable to 'process' the HDMI input from other devices & trasmit lower quality sound from it's optical out. With the LG soundbar was using ARC.Now with Panasonic using Optical to TV. Xbox,3d Blu-ray,Astro+Mac Mini+DVD ( on a Switch Hub)+Apple TV. All working fine. The Panasonic seems to be decoding pretty good on the DTS-MA core, Dolby Digital+TrueHD(Must be taking out the AC3 DD) and PCM (AAC stereo).I hate it when i need to unplug/replug the optical cable to switch between my ACryan & PS3 to my HT(only has 1 optical in). Or now got optical selector like the AV selector ?(3in & 1out where we can switch to select the AV input) Added on September 18, 2012, 6:55 pmMy HT dun has HDMI in. Only 1 optical in & 1 coax in This post has been edited by cstkl1: Sep 18 2012, 07:12 PM |

QUOTE(findmelah @ Sep 20 2012, 10:18 AM) hi sifu, want to ask you question, what is the market price for 47lm7600? because yest i go shop, the promoter quote me rm5k for it, while 47lm6700 they quote me rm4650, jz 350extra, and the free bluray palyer, so is it worth it? all sifu here, any comment/feedback for lm7600? LM7600 price sounds abt right. They are not selling as well as LM6700 and LM6200.by the way, all sifu buy here got buy extra warranty or not when u buy tv? the shop said pay 10% extra can extend the warranty from 2years to 5years, is it worth? thanks The thing is u wont be using the tru-motion. Atleast thats the case for me. It makes things look too real and not like how the movie was suppose to be. So heck since with LM6700 already disabled makes no sense to get LM7600 which only offers higher rate. Again this depends on ureself. The 55LM6700 i have no idea the price. Didnt ask that time. TBM also offered me that but hmm look at at my case a 4.5k tv. 2 years time worth 1k. So lol will change the tv if any issue. Hopefully it will stay as strong as my pioneer which had no issue for already 6 years with another 4 more years warranty left with insurance. Its more worth it to get a 47Lm6700 or if ure using a lot of the apps maybe LM8600 with more 3d glasses. 6 is perfect for most families and since its a 4 pack so get the party pack to be thrown in. QUOTE(findmelah @ Sep 20 2012, 05:31 PM) thanks for ur reply. lm7600 make picture look too real? isnt it mean good? lg lm8600? new model? LM6700initially i plan to buy 47lm6700, but when i go the shop, they offer me rm4650. then i simply ask the price for lm7600, they quote me rm5000 plus lg blue ray player(foc), after i heard it makes me undecide. so is it worth? for the extended warranty, if for u all, u think is it worth to take it? LM7600 - Refresh Rate 240 LM8600 - Refresh Rate 240+Dual Core Proc LM9600 - Refresh Rate 240+Dual Core Proc+Nanotech on Pixel. (Think its something like OLED can on/off pixel so u get better blacks. i think) Well it depends do u have blu-ray?? Player?? U wont know the difference of both unless ure a tru-motion thingy. So it all comes down to how much u value RM350. RM350 = Apple TV lol. Oh yeah forgot TBM gave me that price for Cash Payment. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Sep 20 2012, 06:22 PM |

QUOTE(Liquid Snake @ Sep 21 2012, 12:53 PM) Hi, Got at 120hz.Sorry to bump in. So the 47LM6700 doesn't have tru motion? Been eyeing this model and also 7600 for the past few months True Motion is Running at higher refresh rates. Early tech on tru motion was to solve ghosting. Current tech on panels ghosting has been eliminated. So kindda defeats the purpose. Hence y most ppl disable it and hence y the cost of LM6700 to LM7600 is not big difference. |

QUOTE(Liquid Snake @ Sep 21 2012, 08:19 PM) If its turned on will the picture have the fake look or what people call the soap opera effect? Sorry if i ask a lot. Need inputs from an owner himself. Hehe yrs super noticeable.QUOTE(Xstan @ Sep 21 2012, 11:04 PM) Yes, supposedly. Never encounter but I disabled it as well as advice by many reviewers. U may do that after last firmware update. Now u can control the level. I just disabled it. eh.. sorry in advance but heck even on astro also will very apparent.its like the movement of ppl very fluid with very lesser camera movement. best way i know how to describe the "soap opera effect" u know how they used to show italian dubbed malay drama on tv2 in the afternoon. its like that. but on movies. |

QUOTE(Kanuki @ Sep 22 2012, 07:13 PM) My 42LM6700 just arrived today. All I can say that it's awesome. Hmm looks like another person who never had a 3d gaming monitorIt's really worth every penny. XD haha.... How come maximum refresh rate for this TV reported as 70 Hz but only selectable up to 60 Hz only..? 120hz native is for 3d since ure running two video streams overlaying each other. but the fps for both is still around 24/1001. so u run tru motion to get it be synced. 24/1001 for most BD and 30/1001 for most DVD. 60hz is the basic for most inputs when u run trumotion u increase the fps to match the hz or exceed it. get it?? trumotion tech was essential in the early adoption of HDTV as u get ghosting because of the panels delay. But nowadays with the current tech its mostly eliminated since the source video fps is not that high enough to cause any issue. so whats with ppl doing 240hz,480hz etc hmm btw i forgot to add LM9600 is 480hz. the higher the hz. the more obvious the tru-motion effect will be. i find running tru-motion : user level 1 is just enough for my movies. Smooth is 3 which i find very distracting and annoying. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Sep 22 2012, 08:38 PM |

QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 24 2012, 03:54 PM) Guys, Its -5. Suspect 0.5 seconds for each level. NOT 5 minutes dude.Got 1 prob with my media player (AC ryan) where the audio is lag a bit. Already ON the AV Sync & set at -5(Min) for the SPDIF but still lag. Tried Bypass or OFF the AV Sync yet still prob. My other inputs which are Byond & PS3 also got audio lagged but problem solve after i set the AV Sync to -5. I didnt use the TV speaker & didnt check whether it is ok if using TV speaker. Before this no problem & no need to sync if i directly output the digital optical audio from my media player to my HT. Any heads up? Use ure tv speakers to sync the sound, subs and mouth movement. |

QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 24 2012, 06:04 PM) its like this the tv speakers is in sync with ure audio since its getting from hdmi.Ure ht is the one thats on a different time. so like mine appletv to tv hdmi tv to panasonic soundbar optical. so delay the soundbar to be sync. I set mine at -3. Watch for the spoken language. There should be no echo. Disable the tv virtual when ure doing this. btw disable tru-motion also. QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 24 2012, 09:48 PM) Thanks bro, whats ure amp?Improve a bit after i disable the tru-motion. My HT only can delay the sound, can't set for faster/earlier. Hmm. Tried use as HDD direct to HT, which means audio directly to it's own HT speaker & video from HT to TV, supprisingly the audio is still lag. Finally tried as HDD direct to TV & problem solve. The audio came out from the HT no more lag. No need to AV Sync too. Just no DTS from the TV. i have no issue with my RX-V673 |

QUOTE(elev11n @ Oct 3 2012, 01:36 PM) hi guys~ Was in the same dilemmai'm in the middle of getting 1 of these model : Samsung UA40ES6220R (specs) VS LG 42LM6700 (specs) could anybody guide me about this>? tq~ Samsung better color on default. No glossy reflection LG had better viewing angle and passive 3d. Color etc can be calibrated. Glossy reflection .. lol close the curtains. Pricing LG so in the end LG. realize that the LED backlite tech is going to go bye bye with oled coming in the few years. So overpaying for led atm in my point of view is not worth it. For me tv should last atleast 5-7 years. |
