im using maxis home 10mbps . the installation done just yesterday noon and then it works fine till yesterday 11pm++ and then there is no internet connection anymore. At first i knew nothing wrong, because everyone lives my area (Setapak) cant assess to the internet too!  But less than 10mins, their internet had recovered. But mine still down.

When i try to go any website, the explorer will auto direct me to thompson router page and it shows no PPP, but Ethernet YES. i tried to call maxis customer care line , 1800 82 4663 and 123 since this morning, i cant get any human to speak with me.

There are 2 indications. On the BLACK TM modem (i suppose) there are only 4 solid green light which is LAN2, AUTH , LINK and POWER.
As for the maxis router ( the white ones) only 5solid green light, POWER ,PHONE 1 , PHONE2, WIRELESS and BROADBAND.

My questions
1)the VoIP should have solid green light in order to have internet?
2)the INTERNET and ETHERNET at white maxis router too should have green solid light too?

Please help me to solve the issue. Thank you .

damn... frequent disconnection here as well... every few minutes or so

there is more heat in the huawei modem than the thomson router... so it has nothing to do with overheat lah

it is the thomson router problem itself... when the disconnection about to happen, i notice my pc fan will run fast with loud sound... any of you guys know why?

i just got a report number from maxis support... waiting for them to come back... may take ages

starting to regret since i just potong my streamyx this morning... maxis suckkk big time... my advise for fence sitters, dun take maxis ftth if you want no trouble... otherwise, be prepared for never ending problems

imagine just installed less than 4 hours already got problem... makehai... even the support guy says it has to do with the router!

So we need to make sure the phone works before the TM & Maxis Engineer leaves the premise

may i know if that cable from tm broken...they will change a new 1 or just samsung and use again?

bro, can you clarify this? you mean you can make/receive call using a non-voip phone plugged to the phone 2 port if the huawei ONT? no setup needed?

All Unifi and MHF agent has ready answer for this most frequently asked question "Can I retain my existing TM number ?"

Instead of saying "CAN NOT", they TWISTED THE WORDS and say "Can retain but need to pay RM26". Sounds better to lure you to signup immediately right ?

Only if you ask him further "RM26 is one time payment ?" Then he will tell you that you need to pay RM26 every month. Yet he still doesn't reveal to you that you are actually keeping you existing TM line with the standard monthly rental of RM26.

I still haven't cancel my TM home line, that's why I said "CAN RETAIN".

they coming fix now...but he just sambung back that cable...later sure alot of problem coming out....lazy boy..told him pull a new cable agains he dun want.cable already broken dunno y he go sambung can use back how many month...later few month later again break then call agains?stupid lazy 1...zzzz

Confirm can't use your TM line number for your Maxis services. Unless the government does some changes to current policies..

Anyone here has any experience setting up a access point of wireless bridging using a belkin router?  or is this thompson capable of wireless bridging?

that's good news. i might have to stay at a commercial area next january, so "Home" doesn't apply. or is it possible to install Maxis Home at a commercial area ? (shoplot)

Downloading the Thomson's Configuration file "user.ini" has a lots of details... nice

The Thomson TG784n has settings for Huawei E1762, Huawei E220, ZTE MF110 under the mInternet option.

guys my maxis ftth 10mb@rm118 sucks big time.
installed on 12th july
since then frequent disconnection. page open in new tab didnt load.
this week worst, load my home page then no more internet connection.
restart router only last for few pages then no more internet connection.
btw im at landed subang jaya usj 14.
how can I solve this problem?

Just got the sms reminder from Maxis about the 10mbps installation tomorrow. To ensure no regret after lock in the contract, my main concern as below and hope to get valuable idea from the forumer:

1) I plan to use it mainly for EPL match. Could it play LIVE FOOTBALL MATCH ONLINE without buffering as they advertise on the TV?

2) Could it watch TVB Drama ONLINE without buffering? I need to download those movie before I could watch with Streamyx 1MB line.

My installation today : One contractor with Maxis uniform, the other 2 with TM uniform. Start the installation about 9.30am as set earlier and finish at 10.30am. Feel fantastically amazing with the download speed. I have nothing to complain, by paying RM 8 extra to upgrade from 1mbps - 10mbps Fibre.



Just finished chat with Maxis guy, getting to know that Maxis has no plan to imposed FUP on their FTTH yet. If Maxis did, your speed will be halved after exceed monthly quota. Thats what Maxis guy have told me

I having this problem also when surfing using Chrome. Mozilla is fine.
