1.6HS. From June until now. I'm pissed because some people get it within few weeks. So inconsistent the waiting time.

to be honest, i think SD has really priced the FF aggressively. With all those features even the + variants looks like a bargain. What more 3 years free maintenance and 5 years warranty!!!!
Not sure if SD is trying to pit its marques against each other but this does not really bode well for the HE. kinda dumb if you ask me. Shouldnt have increased the price for the HE in the first place. |

Managed to test drive the Titanium+ at Ipoh last weekend. My unbiased view as below:
Pros 1) Its a drivers car! Acceleration, driving dynamics is top notch! Miles ahead of the koreans and dare i say the japs 2) Surprisingly, the ride was pretty comfortable. 3) NVH is acceptable although i still think the HE has an advantage here 4) LOADS of features!! the Sync thingy is pretty impressive. The BLIS is also pretty handy. 5) Passenger width space - sits 3 adults across pretty comfortably. very surprising. 6) Nice mix on interior soft and hard plastics. The hard plastics certainly dont look like it until you touch it. 7) Nice dial controller for the headlamps/drls 8) loads of bootspace! 9) 3 years or 60k free maintenance/5 years or 200k warranty for ALL parts! 10) Full eco mode Cons: 1) The HU is pretty congested. Kinda distracting 2) No Reverse Cam or Touch screen HU 3) Build quality is kinda suspect. The door closing is not solid. Kinda surprising. I would have thought it would be better than the HE. 4) Rear legroom space is kinda limited. 5) Weird design for the tiptronic gear shifts. Dont think i will ever be using them in this position. All in all i had a great time with this car. hmmm.... decisions... Seriously i think SD is really killing their HSDM branch. They should NOT have imposed the 3k increase for the HE1.8!!!!!!! QUOTE(terdit @ Sep 24 2012, 01:45 PM) Pros actually most of my points ;especially point 1; are not compared directly against the HE unless stated 1) Its a drivers car! Acceleration, driving dynamics is top notch! Miles ahead of the koreans and dare i say the japs 2) Surprisingly, the ride was pretty comfortable. 3) NVH is acceptable although i still think the HE has an advantage here HE is better ? 4) LOADS of features!! the Sync thingy is pretty impressive. The BLIS is also pretty handy. 5) Passenger width space - sits 3 adults across pretty comfortably. very surprising. Compare to HE, still HE is more spaces 6) Nice mix on interior soft and hard plastics. The hard plastics certainly dont look like it until you touch it. 7) Nice dial controller for the headlamps/drls 8) loads of bootspace! HE also wont lose on this 9) 3 years or 60k free maintenance/5 years or 200k warranty for ALL parts! 10) Full eco mode Cons: 1) The HU is pretty congested. Kinda distracting No Comment 2) No Reverse Cam or Touch screen HU But i think the front and back sensor is quite impressive, but of coz no DVD player for focus 3) Build quality is kinda suspect. The door closing is not solid. Kinda surprising. I would have thought it would be better than the HE. let me try this out on coming weekend 4) Rear legroom space is kinda limited. i agree. the seat is too straight, almost 90 degree 5) Weird design for the tiptronic gear shifts. Dont think i will ever be using them in this position agree too after much consideration, i think i would still stick to the HE, mainly on the comfort and space that is provided (design as well). Unless there is a sudden drop in the taxes for new cars in the coming budget announcement, i think i will still wait out my booking.. |

QUOTE(slyer @ Sep 28 2012, 12:37 PM) The 1.6 M3 has a 4 speed gearbox. The 2.0 comes with 5 speed and paddle shifts I've been driving my parents M3 1.6 around lately, and i will tell you that it has better driving dynamics compared to the HE. But in terms of space.. i think you already know the answer to that. The 3 year free maintenance has a catch to it. You have to send in before the scheduled mileage or time period, whichever comes first. Else its considered void for that 1 service and you will have to pay for it. |

QUOTE(hazremi @ Oct 8 2012, 01:02 PM) pls read the corrected version. Author made a mistake by referring to the average Fc on the car's computer reading."Over the 400 km jaunt, I used 28.8 litres of petrol, which translates to an average fuel consumption of 7.2 litres per 100 km for that journey." woot finally collected my car today! Only thing missing are the Hyundai emblems as currently no stock. Also noticed a very tiny paint chip at the front bumper. SA promised to kau tim both and made a note in the collection sheet.
Tested so far so good. No cow crying sound when starting engine. My HU seems to be ok in terms of responsiveness. I'm comparing it against the HU in the M3. about the same in terms of laggyness. So far been driving with the ECO indicator showing all the time.. Model: 1.8 Premium Color : Hyper Silver D.O.B. : 08 July 12 D.O.C. : 06 Dec 12 Region : KL Saw another family collecting their Hyper Silver 1.8 as well.. not sure if they're in this forum or not This post has been edited by mav3rick: Dec 6 2012, 07:01 PM |

Its not really those bright red like the kia koup, but a shade darker. Still, i find its pretty suitable for the younger generation.
