in forum, quite a number of ppl also facing this problem. I think this summer sales I can save money.
*
It's the same thing every single time there's a big sale on Steam. Nothing new & same old, same old. Like I said, it's Steam's anti-fraud system being trigger-happy & disabled either your PayPal account detail or your Steam account.

What you can do is to try using your friend's or another dupe Steam account & try to buy the game as gift for yourself. If it can go through, then it's your Steam profile that's flagged by anti-fraud. If you still can't, then it's most probably your PayPal that's being flagged by Steam.

QUOTE(Hornet @ Jul 13 2012, 06:58 PM)
As someone mentioned earlier, you may have triggered paypal anti fraud system

Its annoying but Paypal likes doing that, don't know why. Did paypal withheld your fund or dispute your payment? Try contact Paypal customer service, should be able to check for you. Use the phone method
*
Most probably it's Steam that's locking his purchase ability.

Ohh...

I thought it was that problem people face in the past where Paypal chargeback and Steam lock their account.
*
That's another issue altogether. biggrin.gif Long story short, try to avoid PayPal if possible. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Jul 13 2012, 07:19 PM)
Good news, after trying on IE, I manage to buy it.
So I dunno why cannot buy from firefox, steam client but can buy from IE.
From 2010-2012 Jun, I can buy from firefox and steam client for paypal.
*
Congratulations. Don't think about it too much; it's all thanks to Steam's strict anti-fraud mechanism. Tried to ask more about it from the Steam Support but they are not willing to reveal too much, which is pretty understandable. You don't want people to know how your security works, no? biggrin.gif

There are a few forumers such as Deimos and talexeh can get it for you.

I can get the game for you too, if you have Paypal.
*
Ahh no no. I have no capability to get region-restricted games on Steam. Too much risk at stake. sweat.gif

I foresee this thread will go v15.5 before summer sales end. If really happens I should consider to buy some lottery.  sleep.gif

I was going hmm.gif & nodding my head in agreement until I reached the part where you touch on lottery as I can't seem to connect the thread's spamming speed to luck. biggrin.gif

Well considering my dumb luck on guessing (if that really happens), perhaps I should try buying some lottery to test my dumb luck. Get it?  biggrin.gif
