They're definitely gonna do something with those badges. Badges with no functionality might as well being called achievements instead of badges. This is too early to tell but perhaps they're gonna come up with some sort of last minute sales where the amount your badges you possess will determine your eligibility for certain games or even higher discount.

There's nothing you can about past badges if you were somehow not there (2010 & 2011 events). At this point in time, you can try to aim for the current badges such as Pillar of Community & Steam Summer Sale 2012. Keep in mind though that they'll most probably means nothing once the Summer Sale ends.

No. Portal 2 is not as multiplayer-ish as TF2 hence you won't be seeing much update.

It's pretty normal as you might have triggered the anti-fraud mechanism. The fastest way would be to have someone help you buy while you raise a ticket to Steam Support.

You can judge how good the game is based on the amount of pages it has generated in LYN's KF thread. For now, you can still wait for the game to be placed into the daily sale to avoid raging later on. biggrin.gif
