I've played the very first installment that came to Steam, if not mistaken in 2011. The game itself is pretty silky-smooth for beginners that do not want to spend too much money playing the real thing... or the real-money Magic The Gathering Online.
The only thumbs down which was pretty much inevitable was the limitation when it comes to building your own deck. You basically have a few sets of pre-set deck that you can't remove any cards from. However, after defeating AI opponents, you'll receive additional cards as rewards, which you can add into your pre-set deck & that's pretty much the only customization option on your end.
After it was being revealed that they're coming out with an annual stand-alone installment each year, most of the people that I knew who bought the 2011 version no longer have any interest to continue forking out money for the subsequent versions.

Hmm, I had thought the limited deck customizing in iPad was due to it is a free demo version. Hmm, guess that I will re-consider this one first. Yet another game off my must-get list.

shipment charges USD75.. + 29USD for the status, and 5.5% tax.. T.T y so expensive
LoL - someone is selling it for GBP65 in eBay UK. Collectibles are really expensive, this reminds me that I must really get my hands on a Deluxe B2 set - I want the bobblehead before it became overpriced.
