I just started playing it so here are just some of my thoughts. I’ve only played 2 games on NORMAL difficulty as the Amoeba and United Empire so I might be wrong about certain aspects.

Like:
UI & overall presentation – Pretty and very easy to get into. Almost everything has a tooltip and a lot of info can be obtained at a glance. Though certain aspects such as wormholes actually requiring research before you could just jump through them could have been explained better

Hero system – They’re useful for developing ur systems, increasing research or boosting ur overall fleet performance. Plus they level up and can acquire new abilities/stats

Planetary exploitations- Helps to modify the overall output of the planet, be it research, dust, food or industry

System improvements – An improvement that applies across all the planets in a system. It’s simple and frees u up from a lot of micromanagement.

Terraforming – Pretty neat if u need more lava planets for increased industrial output, arctic planets for research and terran for population. Offers quite a bit of flexibility in shaping ur systems to ur needs

Dislike
Ship design & combat– Somewhat simple. Doesn’t consider the position and placement of weapons like SotS. The card base system is pretty alright. What I don’t like is how the game fails to explain or indicate properly why I lost or won the previous battle when I’m playing it manually. Since I’ve never like space combat in 4X games this isn’t much of an issue to me. I tend to auto resolve more.

Neutral
Music – I like the overall music style, reminds me of Brian McCreary’s work on Battlestar Galactica. Though some of the tracks aren’t very memorable.

Diplomacy – I’ve heard complaints about the AI but so far in my 2 games the AI’s been pretty decent. Nothing much to complain about YET. Definitely a lot better than
the schizophrenic AI in Civ 5.

Research tree – Pretty standard fair I suppose

Overall
I find myself liking this game, though I havent had much experience with other 4X games such as MoO2 to make a fair comparison. I've played SotS before and while SotS definitely triumphs in the combat and ship design, I find the overall empire management lacking. Endless space seems to be on the opposite spectrum, with better empire management but poor combat. In the end it's up to you but I do recommend it though.

excellent idea.  and that 2 games are awesome altho i do like Asylum more than City. and I am certain to get 2 platinum ticket to watch that movie, been waiting for way too long.

to counter the smaller screen size, i gonna sit at first row!   

I will hold on Endless Space first. Combat and in-game info seems a bit lacking from reviews/vids, might consider to get Rebellion instead. With the number of recent space-genre 4X, I think I have the luxury of waiting till reviews/YTube vids are out for Legend of Pegasus. Where are you getting Freespace 2 from? Didn't know Steam has it?

the dungeon defender i dowload the ahem version to try.....

can't even test the game, but still very interest on it,
just scare when i brought, this problem cannot fix....
