do most people sell off crafted gems at a lost now?
the price they sell is only slightly higher from the cost of (tomes + gem + craft fee)

im crafting emeralds and the market is too insane now i cant sell any in AH for profit.

most people forget about the 15% transaction fee.
only way is trading it seems

lol oh my .. i didnt have enough gold with me to get that..
i knew so well the price would shoot up yet i couldn buy them in time.

the recipe is close to 10mil now

i can understand how the price shoot up so fast.

because jc plans can almost never drop.
but every player need gems.

after the patch 103, a big drop in the crafting fee, everyone decides to craft their own gems and maybe make a profit out of it too.. lol? doesn't work that way. look at the market now.. pretty much screwed..

unless one is fully devoted into only crafting gems, that can earn u gold overtime. most would just farm off act2 act3 and earn in AH.

Gems are too restricted in a way. people stop buying gems at some point of the game, but eqs dont.
i finished inferno with just flawless square slotted on my eqs. so why spend 20mil on each open slot in my armor?
most people can afford up to star/perfect star in game. it's not worth crafting radiant star for me.. imo.
i'll just get them for achievement sake ha!

not to mention gems trading are often down in AH, and it's not even on RMAH (yet?).

if i didn't add them up wrongly:

flawless square to star = 27gems + 54ToS + 500k fee
flawless square to flawless star = 81gems + 174ToS + 1.6m fee
flawless square to perfect star = 243gems + 537ToS + 5m fee
flawless square to radiant star = 729gems + 1631ToS + 15.4m fee

i just picked up a plan for perfect star ruby =)
