A rough idea of the jewelling cost needed to upgrade the gem from Flawless Square up to (Not including other costs like Flawless Square / Tomes of Secret):

Perfect Square - $30,000
Radiant Square - $140,000
Star - $500,000
Flawless Star - $1,600,000
Perfect Star - $5,000,000
Radiant Star - $15,400,000

Bro,

I think there is something wrong with your figure but what both of us can agree on is that it is going to cost a LOT of gold to craft a Radiant Star jewel.

Haha. Did it on Excel, can confirm the jewelling cost up to Flawless Star only.. anything above that is beyond my budget for now

Yup definitely worth it. Once you invest in them you can reuse it again and AGAIN.

It is 2 different thing altogether so you cant say that one is better than the other. I would say that both compliment each other.

well the stats are all the same, and u can unequip.

that blacksmith has to be the richest metal worker in the whole farking kingdom.

Not everyone can afford it but still there is demand for it. Or else it wont be that BLOODY expensive!

i dont have much gold to spend. can only invest in one ..

Ya.But I dont actually have flawless star emerald recipe, just perfect star which I picked up.
Now waiting for flawless star and radiant star recipe fall into my lap

But seriously, I combined the small ones to sell to cover for my cost buying from GAH.
Like for example right now I dont have fstar recipe, so I craft up to star some of my emeralds, sell them, buy 3 fstar and craft pstar.
Crafting only yield profits if you pick up the mats.

If they remove the tax for gem in the GAH, that would be heaven.

Imagine you got 2 pcs 1 handed weapon with slot. Put down 2 Radiant Star Amethyst with +600 Life On Hit each hand. +1200 Life On Hit = profit.

Jewel makes it possible to customize your gear. Im playing a barb at the moment. My gears are just barely above average but they come with sockets. Instead of spending real money to upgrade my gear or farm gold till the cows come home, i took the time to upgrade my amethyst to star. Im loving the extra life point im getting and im planning to get more jewels for my upgrade.

Well, it will still ends up with the same HUGE bill anyway, just that the different is AH is one chop your heads off, jewel crafting slice you unknowingly. YTD spent like 300k just to pump 1 or 2 my square to star
