want to check something i just discovered a few days back.

when in total darkness and in black screen, i notice the 2 touch screen button lights (the back and menu button lights) seems to flood into my screen (the 4.8 inch screen) above. it is like 2 very narrow beams that shines out from the base of the 4.8 inch screen. the light beam is very slight but noticeable.

is this normal?

Normally with JD aggressive mode , battery drop 10% to 12% in 8 hours with power saving mode off. With JD extreme mode with power saving mode off drop 8%. So it translate to around 1% to 1.5% per hour rate.i don't have any background update or sync. My goal is to achieve 0.5% per hour rate then will be perfect. No idea is it achievable or not.

How to force close an application? Is it long press the home key and swipe to close the apps?

Hi there, got my S3 on Sunday, been using it until now, so far so good, the phone is very responsive and very fast, but enabled mobile data and it generates heat a lot.

I've updated to latest software update and checked the phone with *#0*#, so far so good, what else do i need to do now?

its a beam of light that reaches nearly the centre of the screen. it is not that small issue although i can leave with it. but its hell annoying. anybody got same issue?

i was playing with my sgs2 last night, and on a whim, held the sgs3 on the other hand and just played around with both. both have similar laucnher and apps installed.

- screen hands down sgs3 win
- scrolling in homescreen and gui, sgs3 faster

but surprise is launching apps, sgs2 wins almost everytime. whether first launch or subsequent launches, regardless of what app i launch, sgs2 is faster. eg, just try opening contacts or dialer.

maybe it's due to sgs2 having more spare ram.

Guys what are your opinions about Benks HSR screen protector? I used to use clear type screen protector for my old phone and the fingerprints are really annoying. I got a free matte type screen protector when I bought the S3, love the anti-fingerprint quality but if look closely enough can see the display a little bit blur... Wondering if the HSR one can provide clear display and anti-fingerprint as well? Or are there other screen protectors that can provide clear display with anti-fingerprint qualities? Please recommend to me if there is. 

I have resgistered a 3GB plan with Maxis with this phone. I don't to exceed and get charged.
I am new to GB and smartphones, can anyone please teach me how to check from my phone on data used and available in a simple manner ?

Is it more advisable to do downloading of software when I am in a free wi-fi spot so that my own data is not utilised ?

I've taken alot of photos just few days ago in Bali and last night I've reset my phone setting without backing up the PHOTOS. The rest I've backed up, but WHY only PHOTOS !!! Which is the most important one!! I've saved those photo in phone but not SD card.

Just wanna know, is it possible to recover back the photos by using software? I've called Samsung just now, the CSR told me that phone's memory cant retrieve, only SD card can be done.

I would like to check is there any sifu here can help on this matter? I'm fine if charges needed on this service. Coz my wife scolded me like hell last night as most of the photos are captured with my S3 =.= Haih.....

looks like the benks hsr, clear yet anti-fingerprint, but covers full screen hehehe. sounds good.

FYI i clear ram, clear running program, off 3G and just on wifi.
