QUOTE(Piccolo @ Jun 26 2012, 02:58 PM) if the stuttering occurs after u took new photos or transferred new pictures then it is normal bcz the media server is creating the small thumbnails for first use.QUOTE(ramz @ Jun 26 2012, 02:59 PM) hi, light leaking or LED bleeding?want to check something i just discovered a few days back. when in total darkness and in black screen, i notice the 2 touch screen button lights (the back and menu button lights) seems to flood into my screen (the 4.8 inch screen) above. it is like 2 very narrow beams that shines out from the base of the 4.8 inch screen. the light beam is very slight but noticeable. is this normal? didn't notice on mine thou. let me try in dark area later. Added on June 26, 2012, 3:05 pm QUOTE(Reventon @ Jun 26 2012, 03:02 PM) Normally with JD aggressive mode , battery drop 10% to 12% in 8 hours with power saving mode off. With JD extreme mode with power saving mode off drop 8%. So it translate to around 1% to 1.5% per hour rate.i don't have any background update or sync. My goal is to achieve 0.5% per hour rate then will be perfect. No idea is it achievable or not. my JD is balanced only.. then power saving on.. i definitely can get more than 1 hour with 1% if i don't touch my phone at all. This post has been edited by farscope: Jun 26 2012, 03:05 PM |

QUOTE(lookie @ Jun 27 2012, 11:16 AM) i was playing with my sgs2 last night, and on a whim, held the sgs3 on the other hand and just played around with both. both have similar laucnher and apps installed. yea, i notice that too and suspect of free ram.. the system needs to free up some ram before opening new apps. hopefully fixable via updates/custom ROMs- screen hands down sgs3 win - scrolling in homescreen and gui, sgs3 faster but surprise is launching apps, sgs2 wins almost everytime. whether first launch or subsequent launches, regardless of what app i launch, sgs2 is faster. eg, just try opening contacts or dialer. maybe it's due to sgs2 having more spare ram. but try launch camera and see who faster.. |

QUOTE(dragontongue88 @ Jun 27 2012, 11:24 AM) Guys what are your opinions about Benks HSR screen protector? I used to use clear type screen protector for my old phone and the fingerprints are really annoying. I got a free matte type screen protector when I bought the S3, love the anti-fingerprint quality but if look closely enough can see the display a little bit blur... Wondering if the HSR one can provide clear display and anti-fingerprint as well? Or are there other screen protectors that can provide clear display with anti-fingerprint qualities? Please recommend to me if there is. i'm using the benks HSR.. initially able to reduce smudge quite a lot.. but after some use, the effect starts to reduce, similar to any other matte SP as well. but i do notice it attracts less finger print than normal clear SP. u can give it a try thou if u cant find any other better alternatives. cleaning is easy too. |

QUOTE(simpletraveler @ Jun 27 2012, 01:50 PM) Thanks. I know that but I don't understand the chart. What's the4 white vertical line and the blue patch, how to interprete it ? white line means which period u wanna check, u can move it around. then the blue patch shows how much data was used each day.scroll down u can see the data consumed by each app. |

QUOTE(kent75 @ Jun 27 2012, 02:23 PM) Dear all, I really need your kind advise on this. Hope someone from you all can help on this. Thanks in advance. wow.. that's the worse case ever happened for a wipe.. photos are memories that cannot be duplicated. it is always advisable to save yr photos to SD card and then turn on dropbox camera upload via wifi to keep yr photos safe.I've taken alot of photos just few days ago in Bali and last night I've reset my phone setting without backing up the PHOTOS. The rest I've backed up, but WHY only PHOTOS !!! Which is the most important one!! I've saved those photo in phone but not SD card. Just wanna know, is it possible to recover back the photos by using software? I've called Samsung just now, the CSR told me that phone's memory cant retrieve, only SD card can be done. I would like to check is there any sifu here can help on this matter? I'm fine if charges needed on this service. Coz my wife scolded me like hell last night as most of the photos are captured with my S3 =.= Haih..... i m not sure of any software available to retrieve phone data. I can only ask u to try to mount your phone as USB mass storage then use free recovery software like Pandora to try to scan. not sure is it workable onot, but can try. |

for those who complained about battery life, better check on yr apps instead bcz most of the juice drain are caused by apps.
i get very good standby time with data off. 8 hours drop 1-2% with wifi off 8 hours drop 3-5% with wifi on kernel stock, only use juice defender. dont always sikit sikit think yr phone got problem then want send back SC. i think is the user got problem more. |

QUOTE(tommyfai @ Jul 1 2012, 02:19 PM) no need clear ram la.. clear for what.. all the apps will pop back up..u clear the running apps also they will still run in background, just restarting. just leave yr phone as it is then it will handle itself. the more u clear, the more juice it suck to restart app. only clear ram/app if one of the app takes up too much ram/cache. the system apps will still run even after u force stop it. the only way to completely stop an app is to freeze it. |
