Last year, was it similar?
As in they opened up for college kids to register first before opening registration to others.

Looks like this will be the the design of the Nike Run Tee for this year.

Any comments on it?? Personally, I think it's ok...hopefully there's still some design/pattern on the back.
*
Personally, I don't fancy it.
Just collected my KOTR shirt this morning. Nothing special about it too.

Btw guys, what is LSD ?

LSD=Lysergic acid diethylamide, a kind of drugs...

or in runners term, its Long Slow Distant run. This is a run to train/build endurance, normally its ranges from 15-35 km. This run is done on a very slow pace.
*
Oh. So thats why those people I have seen doing, running on a slow pace.
I am planning to run HM for the first time during the PJ Half Marathon later this month, I will try this.

However, I have registered for both PJ HM and Solomon X-Trail run which are on the same day. No doubt HM will be challenging but X-Trail run is more...fun?

Noticed that a lot of people complained about ipay88 so I used a different payment method and was directed to mobile88 (CIMB FPX transfer). Not sure if they are the same but it was smooth.

I think I ran much better during this KOTR than any other 10km runs I did previously but my timing is still roughly the same. Previously I had to slow down and walk to rest but this time, I did not walk at all except for just a few seconds to get a drink.

Will they be displaying the chip time for KOTR ?

Thanks man.

Although I am not a fast nor experienced runner, I enjoy starting from way at the back because I find it very motivating to overtake people in front as they slowed down from their initial "sprint". I just kept a consistent pace and watch myself overtaking them groups by groups. biggrin.gif "one more group, just one more group" and before I know it, I am targeting the next group ahead.

And I tell myself, I may not be the fastest but I am faster by this many and just kept on going,

Chip time 01:14:56.52
Gun time 01:17:32.27

Main target is to go below 1hr for 10km.

6 more days to my first ever HM, wooo nervous!

During race day, what are runners do/think when they are running? tongue.gif

Planning what to eat after the run?
Thinking of your partner who is still snoring in the bed?
Looking around finding your friends?
Doing Gangnam style?
*
Will be missing out because of injury.
Just did an xray scan and doctor suggested that I rest for few weeks.

Man, I was so pumped to see how well I fare in my first ever HM as well. sad.gif

After giving IMU, BarBag, Solomon/PJ Half a miss due to injury, finally I think I have recovered enough and will start by going for some Pink Charity Run in Klang this Sunday. So excited!

Overslept and missed the Pink Charity Run over the weekend. Or maybe my mind and body refuse to wear the pink singlet that makes me look like a giant cotton candy. Or maybe I just need a reliable alarm clock. I am so not used to waking up <6am.

By the way, anyone knows where I can go and buy shoe laces ? Just plain ones for sport shoes.

aiks....then u need sleep more early....
i just use normal shoes lace that they provide and i use double knot and slip under other lace so it wont come out... biggrin.gif
*
Yeah, I tend to sleep late frequently on weekdays so on weekends, my body really cannot tolerate it anymore and I slept through few hours with my alarm has been ringing non-stop (no snooze function).

Haha, I just bought a new pair of running shoes but I don't like the shoe lace colour, so I am looking for a place that sells them, so I could customize my shoes a bit.

Me always have sleeping disorder the night before my race sweat.gif Jumped onto bed as early as 9pm++, rolling on the bed till midnight and still couldn't finish counting the sheeps! Geez.

Seniors told me that is normal, once you participated more than enough races, this kind of synptom will dissapear.

Good thing is I feel charged & doesnt seem tired at all during the race. biggrin.gif But I do sleep like a log after every race.
*
Ahaha, it happens a lot to me too. The night before the race, I would start packing stuff and getting stuff ready and after doing that, I cannot sleep!

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Oct 8 2012, 02:59 PM)
I always think that crossing the finishing line happened too fast & can barely "enjoy" that moment tongue.gif the priceless part about running is the experience & memories you had after each runs. thumbup.gif
*
The last push to the finishing line, my mind goes blank and the only thing I remember before crossing the finishing line is to stop the timer on my phone (endomondo, nike+).
Ended up, if I can find a picture of myself crossing the finishing line, I look horrible.

My case is when I get chicked. laugh.gif
Although there are a lot of fast running girls but I try not to get chicked too often whenever I could help it. laugh.gif

The wristband use to collect your finisher Tee...aiyo!!! why no ppl border to read the runner user guide doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
I know about the wristband.
What I meant was if it is first come first serve, then why do we need to have the wristband? It is not like if I have a wristband, I am confirmed a finisher's shirt. To recognize participants since the bib = the shirt so people joining the race will have to wear the Nike tee.

Maybe wristband because they cannot use a marker pen to cross out the bib on our running tee?

Good thing Nike Run is in the evening, no way of oversleeping this one.

ooo...im sorry for the misunderstanding. Did u realize that the number on your shirt is different from your D-tag?? I guess the number on your shirt just a display and limited, cause every shirt has individual number so that when event day all will running in same cloth and colour. But the number on the wristband same your D-Tag and floor map will detect your D-tag not your cloth, so that your real bib number is your D-tag smile.gif Number on your shirt mayb use by the marshal for manual verify for fast podium finisher runner
Last year they mark on D-tag, when giving out the pendrive. Mayb got double collection by single runner, so that they give out the wristband...that what i guess smile.gif

talking to runner beside me.. biggrin.gif

No worries, the people at the counter were very helpful and explained to me everything in the goodie bag including the purpose of the wristband without me even asking.
I knew about it before collecting my race kit by checking online to know what I am suppose to receive so that when I go and collect my goodie bag, nothing is left out. I am quite kiasu that way. laugh.gif

Oh! I didn't notice that the numbers are different.

But I could not find any useful information about the High Miler badge though. Anyone here has that badge?

Went test run with new shoes. Comfort wise, feels big different compared to my expired shoe  thumbup.gif

Old shoes 10km - 1:05:20
New shoes 10km - 0:59.41
Ahaha, same here.

I went to KLCC park to break in my new pair of shoes. Not sure if is a placebo effect, but seeing my new records in my Nike Running app sure made me felt good. tongue.gif

Old shoes 5.43km 0.41.03 7.33/km @ Kiara Park Lunarglide
New shoes 5.37km 0.32.40 6.04/km @ KLCC Park Lunarglide4

Main objective for me is 10km under 1.10.00 for Nike Run'12 and hopefully below 1 hour mark by end of the year.

feels pretty flat to me heh
i use runkeeper too, and it basically shows the elevation of the route, doesn't give stats like elevation gained etc.
shoes cannot just increase your pace by 1.5min/km in less than a week! that's a hugeeee difference, if ada kasut macam tu please intro lol. you prolly are already that fast la.
from the map monorail seems to be slightly nearer to zouk leh.
*
From Lunarglide ver.1 to Lunarglide ver.4, sure powderful la. flex.gif

It is really all in the mind. I recently heard that from my friend that my ex is running in Nike Run as well. I intend to NOT lose to her in terms of timing because of some egoistic pride within me, which I know is stupid but if it fires up my pace, motivation and determination as such, GAME ON! laugh.gif

I use Endomondo Pro and Nike+ on my Android but I don't think it shows elevation. Only RunKeeper can do that?

Just received a SMS saying that the Melaka Heritage Run has been cancelled. sad.gif
I love running at different new places and was really looking forward to that.
