1. Yeah... riding position, power etc....

2. abit expensive than kapchai... needs more EO... Tires more expensive for sure... Actually depends on u... if u choose more expensive tires, EO, chain & sprockets...etc....

3. Try google.... can find at almost any big bike shop.... even some kapchai shop....

4. FC is relatively ok... trade fuel for power... but acceptable...

If ur going for 250cc, I suggest u Blade 250R.... Ninja 250R is just absurdly price....wtf so expensive....
Blade going for IINM 15k only....
and produce nice sound...

Even a forumer who is an ex owner of both bikes said that Blade is better than Ninja 250R....

Hope this helps... laugh.gif

650R version is the best....

Engine is the same with Suzuki SV 650 only head was different....

Parts can be shared with Suzuki's

Power wise, is good... top speed is higher than ER6....

Sound also mimics Ducati....

Power COmmander even developed PC5 for Blade 650.... brows.gif

wow that harsh jump from 110cc to 1k cc,i only planning to buy 250cc/650cc,1k cc is too much for me imo, expensive parts and maintenance sweat.gif

from what i've read on bikes forum,if you never ride 1k cc bike b4,better try practice controlling the bike/speed etc first before going all out.i've watch many videos at youtube where ppl with no experience riding 1k cc bike get crash after few minutes sweat.gif

top speed for most 250 usually at around 160-180 only.

what is your daily route? how do you plan to ride it? any experience?

dont go straight to 600cc...yes most people say they can handle it.. but the problem come when you are in emergency..you have no experience how to handle it..then you will blank/blur and it will be a problem..

i`ll be more then happy to assist new bikers make the right choice.. its hurt to see news about new riders getting killed riding their bike..

i confuse lol,the 250cc and 600cc price is not much different,to think that i have to buy 250 first and later upgrade to 600 is a waste of money imo...

i don't have any experience in riding big bike b4 this,my daily route is like less than 20km per day for now, later i might change to other place which is still undecided...my driving style is simple really,i only speed up when i confirm that no other vehicle around me,otherwise <100km/h

when you said emergency situation, what kind of situation?might explain more?

650cc and 600cc are different bikes.

blade 650r and yamaha r6 are totally different bike altogether.

tho they are of similar engine size but, the power they deliver is not the same.

power evolution can be concluded as follow:
250 -> 400 -> 650 -> 600 -> 1000

for beginner bike, Id suggest something that is cheap. Because, when u fall, or the bike fall, it wont hurt your pocket much, but it will certainly hurt your physical.

Blade 250r suits well for beginners. Infact, Im looking for one.

not to hurt the ninja250 riders out there but, its overpriced. They are assembled in Malaysia I suppose? But why the expensive price tag. Heck, Blade is also assembled in Malaysia, but the price is alot cheaper.

in the US, hyosung 250, ninja 250 and cbr250 are priced almost the same with hyosung 250 being the cheapest 500 (more or less) fully imported.

you my friend, need to do more research before jumping in.

the 250rr u saw/heard was the old gen of engine which, are of 4 pistons type. hence the RPM is super high and the noise it makes.

ninja and blade are 2 pistons type while cbr250 is one piston engine and also ktm duke 200.

the kapchai sound they make because the no of cylinder they have.

blade sounds a little different since its a v-twin engine as opposed to ninja inline 2.

haha.. dont simply say 650 sound is the same as 600. Even the er6 sounds like kapchai. No offence to the riders out there. tongue.gif

650 - er6, versys, blade 650, xj6

600 - r6, cbr6, gsxr600, zzr600

two different category and price range. Ever occurred to you why the 600 class is expensive than the 650?

and oh, XJ6 is inline 4. It sounds alot better than er6.

Termig on XJ6.. sexy.

blade is actually a rebrand of Hyosung from Korea. Its a korean bike but assembled in Shah Alam and rebranded to Naza Blade. Pretty much what Naza does to Kia and Peugeot.

dont get it wrong, a slip-on and a full exhaust system is different. Thus the price is expensive for a full system. The slip-on is a mere change of the end muffler.

another thing is, bikes need to be re-tuned after changing exhaust system. Or else, you'll be misfiring alot.

if the ninjas are priced similar to blade 250, Id put my money on ninja. Oh well..

Bro.... Kapalterbang (a forumer here)

Owns Blade and Ninja 250R before...

He said that Blade is a better bike than Ninja 250R....

I think Blade is a wiser choice, given the price...

Guys, is the current 2012 ninja 250 (R?) SE same as the 2011 ninja 250R SE? From what I know we're gonna get both Arrow slip on AND std exhausts altogether. Even the tank pad is indicated with SE but are they the same? Specs and performance wise? I'm afraid I'll be 'slaughtered' by the salesperson as the price for 2012 SE version is RM25K, same as 2011 SE. But why are they giving both exhausts? One more thing, is the 2012 ninja 250 (R?) Fuel Injected?

Fuel Injected?

that is the question. I too not sure if 2012 model are EFI.. if they are EFI, then it is better than 2011 model.

Im guessing they give you both exhaust for when you feel the arrow is too loud for you and intend on going back to silent mode you can just change to the standard exhaust. They are both simple to swap. A mere screws & bolts, and youre done.

bro,

any idea why two brothers on kawa and blade have different design? LOL .. I like kawa design but I will ride blade 250r .. how much two brothers normally cost for blade 250R includes installation?

how about akrapovic? how much is it?

Thanks bro .

one is with CF cover and the other is without CF cover/sticker/wrap etc.

not too sure the exact price of TBR, but they will cost you more than MYR2k. And, Naza is their authorized dealer.

akrapovic will cost even more.. SBK stuff.

I'm also planning to buy a new bike too, currently use Modenas Kriss 110 biggrin.gif.. now thinking of getting new bike since my new office located at the heart of KL. So, driving my manual car is a big2 challenge tongue.gif.

So, i read the posting above and seem many favours with Blade 250, however, i did not study on the blade 250 yet, and will do it in the nearest time. So, just want to ask an opinion, my bike usage will mostly on to work everyday, 60km journey from home to office and home again. And is it possible to bring passenger as well in blade 250? Is it comfortable or better ride alone? thinking of ride with my wife to send her to office too. so, honest opinion is needed biggrin.gif

most sports bikes will not be very comfortable to ride with a pillion.
Personally i have some heavy friends and they tried riding at the back biggrin.gif hopeless case man.

But if your partner is about 70% of your own weight I say should be the limit.

Bro if you want to find out what you want to know... Lowyat is not the right place la. Go google around choose the white boys review and will give you the right informative feedback regarding the bike you are looking at. But here Malaysian boys will give X and Y when you are asking about A and B.... They dont even own the Ninja 250r and trying to comment about the bike, you will miss a lot of good points about this bike.

Ninja 250r

Good for beginner who wish to move to bigger sportbike. Sitting position and height give you a lot of control and very forgiving bike for learner.

Maintenance is slighlty higher than kapcai also depending on your Choosey and affordability. This bike having bullet proof engine and if changing oil on regular basis will last you very very long without major problem. Change good oil is around RM100 for 3.5K km.

This bike is powerful and easy to ride on tight traffic because the low torque is smooth and also never leave you behind others on the highway.

Need a good pairing of quality tires like the Bridgestone BT-45 or Pirelli Sport Demon 140/70 rear. The handling is superb and lean with confident on this bike.

Good luck and enjoy.
