Why dont you add a bit more effort by using the path to edge out the object? The path could be saved and it helps a lot if you want to use it later.
Anti-aliasing doesn't work when selection, is inversed in photoshop.

QUOTE(ColeXE @ Jan 16 2006, 10:06 AM) :relaxjack What I'm trying to emphasize is about the tool or method that you use to edge out objects. By using the magic wand tool, you are selecting the image via its pixels, thats why the edge of them are rough. The path functon is used to create a more smooth and clean croped-out object especially if the background comes in multi-colors (you know what I mean).the feather tool seemed to soften a little too much! ;-) :providence How do I use the path i've drawn to mask a specific layer?? I haven't been able to do that! First safe the path you have created. Then make selection out of the path. Go to your desired layer. Go to Layer - Add Layer Mask - Reveal Selection. Then you have a smooth edged masked object. Happy trying |
