 Anti-aliasing doesn't work when selection, is inversed in photoshop.

Have anyone noticed that when you try to inverse a selection, say, You used the Magic Wand tool to select the background, and inverse the selection so the object in the picture gets selected instead, and do a "Layer Via Cut", the edges are rough instead of smoothen out.

Of course, you can always delete the selection after selecting the selection leaving only the object in the layer.

Does anyone know what i'm talking about?

How do I use the path i've drawn to mask a specific layer?? I haven't been able to do that!
