Would be more satisfied if the QC of the car was done properly before giving it to customers.

Hi,
Any using Preve Executive CVT? How is it? I couldnt find any review on Preve Executive CVT. How is it compared to old vios? I own vios 06 FL type E. I'm planning to change to Preve Exec CVT...I can see it is really really spacious than my vios (i see it in the showroom)..
*
It is effortless driving, you will not feel that the car have reached 100km/h after a few seconds. It is that good. Ride and handling is superb. You can tackle corners with confidence because there is no body roll. If you drive on uneven roads, you cannot feel it because the multilink suspension cushions it.

Preve has D and S mode. D mode for conventional driving. S mode for people who thirst for speed.

A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a transmission that can change steplessly through an infinite number of effective gear ratios between maximum and minimum values. It provides better fuel economy as it allows the engine to run at its most efficient revolutions per minute for a range of vehicle speed.

That is my layman understanding of CVT as taken from wikipedia.

Salam

Paultan only review preve premium and preve executive m/t.
CFE is quite expensive. And i havent once drive over 160kmh.
Tq for the info. but does preve executive also got this S mode? There's no preve executive in the showroom.
I'd like to know:
- acceleration response, example when masuk roundabout.
- steering response. my old vios steering response in too week.
- real life fc of preve executive in average. is it lower than stated, tolerable or far higher?

Just want to be sure...already fix on preve, but still consider either iafm+ cvt or cfe cvt version. Sometime, the comment i read based on different standard. Since  old vios is my current car, i'd like to compare them. Is it far better?(as it seems to me, but not sure).

I am driving CFE CVT Premium version, there is S mode but cannot use because mostly use in traffic congested KL roads.

Answer to your question

1) You would probably notice some sluggishness at first when driving Preve but bear in mind that the engine was tuned for fuel efficiency. If you want to accelerate just floor the pedal. So far i have no problem driving the car in congested road. Just worried that stupid motorcyclist will scratch my beloved Preve. sad.gif

2) Steering response, for me personally just right because it uses hydraulic rather electronic assisted. Does not feel too light or too heavy just nice.

3) FC, if you are too heavy in flooring the pedal, you can have good FC. The FC will improve after 1st 1000km service.

4) Extra point, cannot compare Vios with Preve because different segment class. Even if you compare Vios with Saga FLX, Saga still wins. However, if you insist Vios build quality and brand is better, that is another matter altogether. whistling.gif

Tq for the info. notworthy.gif  Hope it will be the same with preve exec cvt. The guy at proton told me that red color will be discontinued, not much demand for that color. doh.gif  Seems like i just have to go with white one. I planned to test drive preve exec cvt, but they dont have the test drive unit for that variant. Any preve exec cvt in kuching? want to test drive.  biggrin.gif
*
Bro,

The guy in Proton is trolling you, not because red colour not in demand but got paint problem and cannot resolve hence discontinue. Sounds more pleasing to customer isn't it? There is Mr ben3003 and i think if i am not mistaken that drives a Preve cvt, he stays in kuching but i think he is overseas at the moment.

Try ecotint, you can actually get it for free but not sure all ecotint shop does this. If anything, it is not too expensive to add top tint.

My car kena de-virginize already finally on sunday. Some idiot mofo tried to park behind my car and failed. He try to squeeze into the small space behind my back and scrape my rear bumper. Now got a black mark there about 1 foot long in the middle.

There is two long line of chipped pain at the top and bottom of the bumper. Other minor scrap in the middle making the paint rough also. I think im just going to leave it be. Too lazy to go fix it. Too expensive to keep correcting other ppl mistake and also i need to sent SG again once re-painted. Waste time nia.

Sien with KL drivers. Kena twice already at this place. This is the 3rd time someone scrape my bumper in KL and also kena once my waja ppl scratch it at PJ. f*** what is wrong with all this ppl la wei... lesen kopi vmad.gif

I agree. Do not expect sports car like performance & handling or refinement the likes of Accord or Camry.

Manage your expectations and you will love the Preve. I know I do.

Regards
*
Comparing accord or camry with preve is like comparing apple with orange. Not fair. Overall satisfied with the car but note of the minor qc issues and car size. If can accept not problem for you.

Just try the step:

1. push in your key, push the start once,
2. push the start second time. Wait for at least 10 seconds.
3. press the break pedal,
4. Push the start button when the light on the button is green.
*
This should be posted on the front page, true enough, i tried the method above before no over cranking even after not driving the car for 1 week shocking.gif

If follow the method of insert key, press brake and then push start button, got crank sound.

So one less problem to be concerned about, just need to fix boot pop out problem and c pillar wind noise, other than that awesome driving experience rclxms.gif
