QUOTE(BartS @ Jun 30 2012, 10:59 PM)
Something worthy of note. When I collected my vehicle late yesterday evening. Being quite dark, I didn't pay much attention to a piece of paper dangling from my rear view mirror. Didn't notice it till this morning.

main concern for most car owners is #3 and #4 only.

Your car is sitting at the stockyard for about a week after assembly while awaiting to be transported. Therefore, it is safe to wind down your windows. Just dont turn on teh demister.

i mean hard break in..

from the very first day you got your car.

If you do it after 1000km, you probably wont be getting the full benefits of doing hard break in from the beginning.

QUOTE(GoldenHawk @ Jul 2 2012, 09:27 AM)
On the topic of breaking, has anyone tried breaking hard @ speeds of, say, 80KM/H? Apart from the lack of break feedback & slow stopping, I hear a "gruuk" sound just before it stops. Sounds like bad break-pads, but I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced similar symptoms. Is it just mine? unsure.gif
*
thats the right way of how ABS works lah.

you'll feel the lack of feedback on the brake pedal and grinding, scraping or buzzing noise will appear.

steering shaking however, it couldn't be related to ABS. Didn't experienced this when braking hard in other ABS equipped car.

Scraping, yes. Buzzing, no. I'm a little worried about my stopping distance actually. Its worse than my '92 model Saga! sad.gif And the feedback is, like, stomping on a down pillow...

Normal? unsure.gif
*
yes. as for the stopping distance, the Preve has more metal than a 92' Saga. If the Preve has a 92' Saga brake system, I think it need 1km baru boleh henti that car from 100kmh. tongue.gif

juz wondering... why the preve elegant brown not the same as Exora Bold & Saga FLX?
it seems very much lighter... same color like the 1st gen Saga BLM...
would prefer the darker shade elegant brown... looks more classy and macho...
*
dunno.
could be the paint machine different? hmm.gif

coz Exora Bold & Saga = assembled in shah alam

Preve = tanjung malim

im still in a dark, whether to take or not taking a new preve... since i heard a lot of problem esp the one that with the cfe ngine. i could bear the problem with accessories, but the engine, ayyoohh... hmmm... sad.gif
*
if you are not rushing to get a new car, just wait few more months. Then you will see the result. if the engine really has problem and the whole car is rubbish, I think you'll hardly spot one (like the Savvy AMT).

For now, everyday I go out, without fail, I will spot at least one Preve on the road. Like today at Taipan I spotted one PReve. I spotted that Preve coz he go let out a honk. He was honking a police car. laugh.gif

if your savvy is still fit and healty, then it is good news lah.

But the majority of Savvy AMT has lots of problem, mainly with the gearbox. Yesterday when I am servicing my car, there's one savy tersadai at that SC. One gearbox pump alone costs around RM2k+. When the technician takes out the battery and ecu, wah, its like whole engine bay flooded with octopus.

the new 207 design,  shakehead.gif  with that tag price, i would go for proton anytime..

im pretty sure u could find some news on the 308 problem with the turbo unit..
*
Well, fair to say, each and every car manufacturers shares the same fate; ie: defective cars.

Only for proton, people tend to elevate the heat.
