This normally happen to the male especially the long hair guinea pig. They will drag their bum and all the fur can go in. I normally perform the checking and squeeze all the fur and make sure the bum area is clean.

lol. Impaction is for old boars normally 5 years and above. Their ability to push the poo is weakens so we need to help them.
I also didn't dare to korek deep deep. 

Normally I will just pull out the hair and make sure the area is clean. I will squeeze a bit. Normally my Luffy will poo and no more foreign thing come out together with the poo then he is good to go 

i added you on facebook! Shed of fur like this is normal, but as long as no sudden bald patches on ur pig shud be fine. U only nneed start worry if bald patches appear...feed more vitamin C based food... heard it helps haha

Another sad story happened... i joined Marmut Cute, Malaysia's Biggest FB Cavy page...and a fellow forumer there Irena Tan, was taking care of a friend's Guinea Pig...all 11 of them..got coronet..alpaca..so on so on..she is a good groomer, so i think he was aksing her to take care of it while giving some grooming for them....

next thing she know, all 11 of them died. Wild dogs ate all of them...destroyed their cage...sigh.... she put the guinea pigs outside of her shop... so sad =(

erm erm..their all now nearing adulthood! so makan pellets 2x more omg...zzzz...  erm... rm10 weekly on vege's...rm40 on pellets... hay i quite a few months no give jor, the horse ranch closed for renovation, no go take new hay...plan to buy lah...this pahan guy sell  5kg RM45 free postage lolsz! if got include hay, shud be RM100 like dat per month....hmm
