Pffft. Temjin in VO 1 is broken. Rapid machinegun bug trick ftl! D:

I've played only VO1 though, I've never seen any of its later expansions at the arcades here in Malacca... and neither do I remember seeing any of them in Genting when I went there some 3 years ago.

cool.gif well yah 39 is sap sap sui, my team mate got 42, we held tournaments weekly last time on vo1, in ipoh yik foong, our nick are KVN and FCY,

we actually got sweat, stiff arms after the session hahahaaaa...

there are a whole gangs or shall we say competitors during weekends, so happen my gang have intensive training, so we are hard to beat loh,

ta training for me is everyday, 2 hours minimum , then off to tuition class, maths beside yik foong hahahaa.....

i play from Rm1.50 to ,1.20 , 1.00, then, 0.60, and finally 0.50 cents.....
hahaha u can imagine how much i have invested,

then most of us move on, some U, some college, so out groups disband.... sad.gif ...

and the arcade in yik foong complex also died ...hard to find VO machine these days, only jusco's capcom have VO2, which left side is slightly broken sad.gif......

few years later i even visited kl for VO hunting during my time working there....some of the sunway pyramid dudes might recall ipoh mail contender thats uses alpharmd, temjin, fei yen, dorkas, viper and raiden.... well thats me... hahaha....

that does last long too, after ta darn sega universe close down for renovation, never meet ta gang liao, i which i know wish they are playing now...

my cousin, have tried Vo4 or force in japan, it cost RM38 for the ID card and RM3 pergame, damn cool, u can train ur AI and ur bots skill and ranking~!!

cool.gif thumbup.gif PS TO ALL VO2 PLAYERS, I HEREBY CHALLENGE TO ALL FOR VO2 ON CAPCOM'S IPOH. hahahaha well invites lah hahaha but challenge sounds cooler.... anyone interested lets make a tournament dates.....i dont mind using the left side, as i have gotten used to it, so both side of the machine is fine for me~~ thumbup.gif

well we all suck when we got started, just practice more with human players instead of AI, hahaha tats the way to train playing styles and tactic,

cause ta AI is too easy to put up any challenge, .....hence hard to train with AI...

slow~? hmmm, i think u havent meet me and my gang yet hahahahaa....
for vo1 we can performs close to 0 freeze time .... and hyper speed circular attack ......

apart from dorkass in for vo1, temjin is the most balance to defeat any character, vr like fei yen, viper have disadvantage facing dorkass and temjin, cause they are too tall and too weak in defence....

in 200 - 5xx yard, both dorkass and temjin and dunk shoot feiyen and viper.... and tats super hard to avoid one.... cool.gif kindda like a week point....

so when playing faster player like fei yen and viper better play far and chicken style or very close by fly over front and back of the opponent...thats is very tiring even for myself to play, i mean 4 - 5 round is okay using viper for straight wins but after like ta 10th round ur arms will hurt like hell hahahahaa wink.gif

so dorkass is ta preffered choice for long run vs againts human... which i hate. cause sooo boring alwayd fighting dorkass ...hahaha.... once people use dorkass i use apharmd or baubasbow.... sure piss my friend's off hahahahaa....

so long never post here n now u guys opened a Virtua On thread
goodies... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

the arcade is fun
i do own the game which is on both PC and sega saturn
own the twinstick too
fun tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

as for the Viper 2, it is not a bad VR by itself
only thing is the homing missile n 7 way missiles consume a lot of power
the best way to shoot the 7 way missile is standing (which can cause u become a standing target)
homing missile works best at long range and close in rush shots

the vulcan gun is great as it can shoot for long period of time
good for standing shots or frontal rush

viper 2 bad points is it weak armor n low HP
close range is so-so
but the super attack is so fun thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Hwoarang45, u ipoh mali ke ?
i used to live there for like 1 year ++
frequent yik foong to kill boredom
the VO machine all screwed up one
only ones working are in Jusco there nia

well viperII does have it advantages, mostly fly over head to confuse the opponent the use homing, the chances of hitting is more than 75% , now VO2 's viper is much better, but still lack the armor, and darn too big and too short time in single player use, for versus its fun~
&
yah i hang in yik foong in my early days, then now since it died, i mostly hang in jusco, wanna come have a few rounds on VO2 in jusco?

Oratorio Tangram was the best Virtual On game ever XD

I love the one with the scythe, what's its name already...specinif? or something like that haha, but its not my favourite VR though, has uber weak armor, i remembered that once i got hit from that tongfer wielding VR and instant kill, my health was at 70% i think. o_O

yeah this game has lots of bugs though, such as temjin's machine gun rifle and that viper's unlimited missile swarm XD

VOOT special tactics (from what I still remember)

Temjin

Surfing board

jump,forward twice (both joystick) + press both weapon button

Laser Rifle

press right dash + right weapon button (once u use it,ur rifle become 0%)

Apharmd Battler aka Apharmd B

Tongfer Typhoon

ducking/squard down + press both weapon (once u use it ur middle weapon will become 0%)

Flying Knee kick

double jump, forward twice + press both weapon button

Apharmd Striker aka Apharmd S

Flying elbow hit

double jump, forward twice + press both weapon button

Specinif

Ghost chasing fire wall

left joystick foward + right joystick backward then press left button

Death Mode

press START button twice (u will become immortal this round but u must kill ur enemy in 13 sec,otherwise u lose this round....death mode only can u use once when each time u fight with an enemy...for example in 2 rounds,u only can use in 1 round only)

nope not that... that's another thing, by rapidly twitching the left joystickleft and right rapidly and keep on clicking the right attack button, you can achieve it tongue.gif

there's anothe skill for Specinif:

Charge forward(both joysticks forward, both boosters), then both joysticks push to center then click on all buttons on joystick = boosters+ attack buttons)

This skill Specinif will charge forward then crouch down with whole of its body covered in some force field, charging forwards in a straight line, no auto aim like temjin's surf board skill.

Try this :

Raiden Armor Break.

Activation : Double Jump, Start.

Raiden will break all his armor. He now is super fast (possibly faster than Fei-Yen Knight). Downside? Ur health is 10% O_O defense also all gone...so u die rather easily..

^nope, no special tactic needed, he's already owning enough no need special tactics XD

but beware though got 1 of his attacks will restore the opponent's hp XD

edit: rofl@raiden armor break thingy, what's the use then? XD if you're super skillfull only i think you have the chance for wining with low armor 10% hp XD

raiden armor breaks much like fei yen and dooray, upgrade ta damage power in exhange of hp/armor, in raiden's case, his speed increases dramatically~

@b3rnard7

ajim is a very nice and hard to master vrs, u can learn it though,
i suggest u master Bal-Bados, then using ajim is much easier~

here's a link for more ajim tricks and secrets hehee~~

AJIM'S FAQS

nope me tekken fanatic, no no on soul caliber,

as for voot in klang, hmmm been some time i travel there, got try sunway pyramid's sega universe?

hahaha u should see me use alphamd against JAGUARDIAN, i tonger and chase it in return, hahahaha, dont be fool by its size, with bomb and cc attacks, its actually do evade u, well most of ta time hahahaha.... super easy,

Bal-Bados pula not hard to use lah, just too many tactics , tends to confuse ta pilot, it can be offensive and defensive style, just make sure u train in one style kau kau 1st then during versus battle, sap sap sui,

a pro, can change his style anytime, tats wats scary, super hard to predicts sweat.gif
once on vr-1, i met a pro before,tats quickly becomes gaming buddy, he's ta toughest balbas bow i ever encounter~ too bad i need ask for his details, last i met he moves to U.K for studies~ sad.gif

*
hahaha sure anytime~
i have to versus him with alphamd, cause i need to pratice my trade mark circular attack & cancelling combos hehehe thumbup.gif and when u versus more than 6-8 humans straights, u are force to versus him, hahahaa~

but i die alot at first,vs it, when i use defensive tactics like using temjin, it will trick u will ta 3 bazooka shots, which first 2 shot first then ta last follows shortly, so if u speed run, ta last one will kena u, so i try to use cancelling speed, still no avail, ta missile dont hit yah but u dont have much damage on him either,

so one day i was piss off, so tired after versus like 15+ homie non stop straights, then i meet our lovely JAGUARDIAN,
i dont give a damn liao and i use offensive tactics, and viola, i end up chasing it, but when he runs he will shoots the 3 missile or stand there shower with ta multiple laser shot, and tats ta time to tongfer attack ta sucker, but bear in mind its wierd with alphamd, not most of his center cc is effective some are very weak unlike temjin, temjin's cc will knock him down hahahaa~!

so to conclude this long weird experience, with alpharmd, use your bazooka shots alot while slowly walking side ways, like raiden, crounch bomb ta sucker if he come too close, he will run to avoid ta bomb, and tats ta time to chase him in return, thumbup.gif hopes this helps,

last time i uses 2 joystick to pratice on pc, but pc sucks after 2 rounds with him, if u continue ta JAGUARDIAN shrink to tiny baby size hahahahaa~ doh.gif

ok, here's how to do that, when you're facing JAGUARDIAN, using temjin of course, 1st try to evade his spread bazookas and lasers, then after those combo attacks, he usually will pause for a while, or just plain moving around doing nothing, here's your chance, with temjin, just stand and throw the bomb to the ground, and NOT TO HIM, because if you throw it at him he'll evade then he'll shoot, then you're dead, be sure to stay at a distance and make sure the blast of the bomb is no where close to him BUT infront of him and blocking his view.Now the magic begins, Your bomb will deflect his bazooka shells and if im not wrong, the bomb blast will deflect his lasers too, and at this time, he'll just stand there doing nothing and he cant see you(though he's an AI) because the bomb blast is blocking his view, this time, stand on ground not moving, just use your rifle and shoot and shoot and shoot.

eventually, he'll fall down in a few shots. After that, while the bomb blast is fading away, your bomb might have been charged enough for the 2nd time, same goes for the 3rd, the 4th, time things nicely and you'll win an easy battle tongue.gif

I've never seen a pro balbados player though, but i just read online that it is a very very deadly machine when in the hands of a pro, really, no kidding.

yup, usingtemjin is darn easy agaisnt JAGUARDIAN, bomb, shoot while sliding, but the best part is use temjin ultimate attack agaisnt the unknown boss in the end , lol~~! very amusing~~ hahahaaa...

as for Bal-Bas-Bow on voom, its very very unique if u can master it, i have to say, its the hardest vr to master on voom, till now i cant fully match ta skill of my pal, the secret is , Bal-Bas-Bow , have very very little freeze time, and it have longer air time and air cancel time than other vrs, so playing agaisnt a pro, most of the time u'll be turning and cancelling just to lock on agaisnt them, just like fighting viper but with faster air speed and deadlier sneaky seeking attacks..

guys i have perfected my configs on pc, anyone wanna play lan online with me? i'm a bit rusted at voom, such a long time i have played last~ hehehee.... come pm me or post here if anyone interested~

I don't go for the cliche' bots like Temjin,Fei Yen or even Viper II/MYZR. In VR On 1, headed for Belgdor. In VR On 2, i went for Dox series. My skills were mediocre at best by having 17 wins and there's not a lot of VR players. Until i was bested by a guy who used only Bal.

hahaha belgdor was my fav too thumbup.gif , but i suck against dorkass doh.gif , too much weakness against tat vr, belgdor have weak armor and balance, slight attack eg. crounch hammer from dorkas will knock it off its feet,

and not to mention the lack of cancel AND FAKE moves when using CW and dash attack, hard to play offence agaisnt heavy armor dorkas or speedy viper~, but its fun trapping and skating with tat vr~~ thumbup.gif

yo,Sadistic Reaper, where u located?u have voot for pc? i seeking players online, especially fellow belgdor pilots~~

~~~ATTENTION TO ALL U FELLOW VR PILOTS~~~
interested go out for a match, i coming to SG wang and lowyat this sunday, u guys INTESRESTED lets meet up for friendly matches, let me relive the joy and fun of the games ~been so long i have played it~~ voot and voom~ sad.gif
Not much of a Virtual On player, played it a couple of times back in secondary school. Love the slow motion replay of Fireballing using Viper.
Anyone need a quick fix of VO1, there's a machine in Berjaya Time Square Arcade Centre (Level 6, near the theme park)
ipoh have one but it was send to kl, last i seen in kl only in sgwang complex under capcom station.
ipoh's capcom got Virtua on force though but they disable the memory card input, freaking dumb, can't use custom character only stock , ultra slow, silly VR....
and it cost RM2 per game...
You pro modeller or just OOB?
Hagesawa kits generally has small parts, molded in flat single pieces, so painting is required, not to mention their crazy water decals. So far this line focus on VO Force and Marz VRs.
Recommendation:
Temjin 747a8 White Knight (Very hard to find tho)
Temjin 747 Shadow ver. (even harder to find)
Any female VRs tongue.gif
Kotobukiya kits, on the other hand, are just like the SRW kits; molded with parts of different colors separated, comes with dry-transfer decals, very little painting needed for OOB build. This line focus on OMG and VOOT VRs.
Specineff(has very sharp claws!) and Fei-Yen are both cool. Raiden is kinda clunky, but very easy to find (IIRC XL Shop/Time Machine both still have the RNA version)
But seriously, I've been on this forums for quite some time and I never knew we have a VO thread, lol biggrin.gif
Ahh... yes. The crazy amount of water decals. I heard that a lot. But it looks so nice after they're put on. I definitely prefer Hasegawa's Temjin over Kotobukiya's bland version.
I think i still see Raiden II and Viper II around, but aren't really interested in those two.
If (and that's a really BIG "if") i can find Fei-Yen, would you recommend me getting the Hasegawa version or Kotobukiya's? Not judging by the looks, but rather on the quality and articulation?
Yup, the White Knight is very cool indeed. Temjin Firefly is not so bad either. But what's really got me kicking is Apharmed The Hatter laugh.gif
For the Fei-Yen, better get Koto's Fei-Yen Kn; stronger joints there, definitely. The skirt pieces on the Hagesawa's Fei requires plastic cement to properly hold them in place, and she has 3 tiny pieces glued into 1 for her elbow joint..Yikes.
Though i did bought the 3 Fei's, coz it's VO tongue.gif
However, the Guarayakha model is much more forgiving, but requires some paint job, despite having those decals biggrin.gif I'm expecting a third version to come though, she's still missing the hammer, lol.
Can't wait for the Myzr Delta. Hopefully Kotobukiya would also step up their game and give us a transforming Cypher.
I always love to play Vitual-On games like the first release and the MARZ series.
Saw a VR kit sold at one shop but didn't have the chance to buy it, don't have enough money and it is the freaking first Temjin.
(happy.gif') Even I buy it, I don't have enough skill to apply the water slide decals though. I see some of the modeler not too fonds on by that method.
TimeMachine only jack up prices on kit alot of people wants. You know what it's like with VO here. The price are actually normal. I think Fei is just around RM120-ish IIRC, or less. But yeah, so far the Temjin, Fei-Yen, Hatter I had all have the weird joints. Guara is saved from that because her arms is too small biggrin.gif It's generally safer to use plastic cement on them or parts will eventually drop here and there when you tried to pose it laugh.gif So far I still think the old VO models from Wave are the best in term of playability and assembly, almost early Bandai quality. Heck they even have a working laser mechanism for Raiden.
1/100 MBV-747 A/C Temjin
1/100 MZV-36TH Apharmed the Hatter
Sweet! I hope the colored parts aren't decals.  sweat.gif
Parts are molded in the pink/purple/white, grey joints and the clear parts. So all those blue details are decals.
It's Cypher in VOOT.
I would buy 2 for sure, the designs in VOOT are so much win. Force and Marz are generally ok, but they are either too polygonal, or covered in messy details.
Off topic: virtuaroids in Marz and Force seems to be downgraded versions of their VOOT counterparts sad.gif
I wish I knew of such a site. The only other VO-related site I go to is oratan.com, which is also a discussion forum sweat.gif
Used to have one site of my own when I was really crazy about VO, but I'm not sure if it's down, or just me on a bad connection. Try to see if you can access it or something, haha.
Funnily enough, the older version is still up after all these years (10 years?LOL). Pardon the weird arrangements and text sizes though, it was made in the 320x240 days afterall biggrin.gif
Can tell you're crazy about them from your LYN username tongue.gif
I can't access the first site as well. The second one was very detailed, straight down to the reviews of each Virtuaroids.
Thanks for sharing. notworthy.gif
Gah, disappointing. Hagesawa's always picking the easy route Apharmds/Temjins. Anyone manage to get that Myzr? According to HobbyJapan, it was released in December , while most online stores list it as mid-end January.
Since they already have previous Temjins/Apharmds kit that can be used as the base. After Myzr, I'm pretty sure they will release more Myzr-based virtuaroids later
Though be aware that Mandarake will charge handling fee of 500yen if the total is below 5k yen on shop basis
On the contrary, I'm pretty sure their staff will make sure there's nothing "wrong" with the figures; well they're not as lax as ppl in M'sia tongue.gif Sometimes the item that was marked as opened actually just have the box opened only but the figure inside nvr displayed at all
It's from Newtype magazine Feb 2011, and it appears the Miku fever got Katoki as well tongue.gif Since Sega also published the Project Diva games (and part of Fei-Yen's origin story is that she loves to sing), it actually make sense. Apparently (according to this scan here), that's the latest evolution of the original lost Fei-Yen (Fai-Yuv), a hybrid creation of VR type 14 and a certain "Diva".
Temjin would make a perfect Kaito VR, lol.
Didn't dare to buy though, since the old kaiyodo VO figure tend to have easily-broken joint over time (well it's been a long time too seeing the box become yellowish already); my OMR Apharmd knee joint just broke when I try to pose it last time
The material used wasn't the durable plastic like revoltech, figma; softer plastic. And it seems to degrade faster than those 2 over time.
The joints degrade over time, and they're like rubbery PVC. If you leave it for too long, the joint gets stuck inside its hole and when you twist, carefully or not, the joint is bound to break sooner or later. If this happened back when I bought it, I would be devastated(since VO figure are like very, very rare then). But since it's 2011, I could sit back and wait for Kotobukiya to release their model kit tongue.gif
