Sarawak berada di bawah PTB sehingga 1 Julai 1946.

Setelah bersidang selama tiga hari Mejlis Negeri meluluskan Rang Undang-Undang Penyerahan Sarawak atau Cession Bill dengan 18 undi menyokong penyerahan dan 16 undi menentang. Usul penyerahan disokong oleh ahli bukan bumiputera. Pada 1 Julai 1946, kerajaan British mengisytiharkan Sarawak sebagai Jajahan Mahkota British. Sir Charles Arden Clarke dilantik menjadi Gabenor British yang pertama di Sarawak.

Just like any other army style govt in the world such as Myanmar, the old Thais Govt under army, Taiwan old Govt & even the pervious Pakistan Govt - all controlled by the armies

Sarawak was granted independence after PTB and became a country prior to joining the federation of Malay states, Singapore, Brunei and sabah.

However Brunei decided to pull out @ last minute because the federation are deemed not to benefit people of Brunei as they've large chunk of petroleum and insisted that the oil to be kept to the kingdom.

Yes. A crown colony is just a fancy way of saying "this is part of the British Empire, you're going to follow our ways of governing it."

Sarawak once was Brunei. The some shit happen, the Pengiran ask help from Brooke. Brooke win the fight, he gave top Kuching part to him. Brooke when greed mode, he took over almost all of it and leave only brunei alone.

Some shit happen after brooke and charles died, no one can really mentadbir sarawak that time. so the brooke family give sarawak to british to help manage it. most people getting sadding because brooke once already promise to free sarawak but seems it not gonna happen when british take over.

then british rule sarawak until the comunists start making shit and finally the independence day with the tanah melayu, singapork, and sabah.
