ok now this is weird....

i plug in my previous digi micro sim which is inactive now (since i switched to maxis)

the NO SIM detected message is gone. meaning the phone detected the sim but no service because the sim is inactive
*
i think it's probably the sim card issue.
go and ask for a replacement from maxis. it's free...

when i got my s3, the people there cut my normal sim to micro sim.
then she said if got issue, then bring back, they change for free.
sometimes if the sim not well aligned, it detects as no sim.
try leave your maxis micro simcard in your phone and leave it on
for maybe 30 mins. then if still no sim, restart the device.
if still the same, bring to maxis change sim card. smile.gif

Your sim card must have been damaged by some magnetic field or something...
Don't worry. Im sure it will be back to normal after changing the sim.
those maxis center ada buka on sunday right?
but make sure u go to the one which can make new sim.
good luck, bro !

but doesn't explain why i use it on my nokia N8 its able to detect the line....

anyway i hope you're right its just the sim card problem..
*
it happened before where my friend's sim card was placed on my phone, it was working, but it was not working on his phone. same message, no sim detected. (both me and him using the same phone model)
my sim card works both on his and my phone.
he ended up to maxis center and they changed a new sim card for him.
and it works after the sim card is changed.
i wonder y.... hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Why want to use safety tint for S3 screen?
*
Maybe he's afraid that the thief might break his screen glass and steal his precious data away. LoL.

Those used in cars, I think it's not suitable as they tend to be thick.
Might affect the touch functionality or the touch might be unresponsive.

Guys, I just drop my S3 and cracked the screen.. anyone where can repair the screen, how much, how long, and what is the procedure?? ><
*
Good luck, bro.
I think the warranty doesn't cover damage on cracked screen.
You need to bring it back to Samsung service center for repair.
How long, depends on their technician expertise and the parts they order.

The screen itself might cost a lot... ranging from RM300-500, through
the articles and feedbacks i heard so far...

Seems like the metallic part is like a thin layer of plastic coating the metal.
So fragile leh... The metallic section is not part of the back cover.
Like this need to find extra protection.
Mine is just protected at the top and bottom...

flex hd is full
nano series is not full coverage too.
*
I'm just wondering, those SP which claims to protect the screen,
some appear to be slightly thick, especially those full body.
do you think it might affect the touch sensitivity or
maybe slightly reduce the tough effectiveness?

I'm using nilkin SP(clear), not 100% covering the screen.
there's a tiny scatch on the SP, which makes it visible on the SP,
like a tiny rainbow string. happens to all SP?

sticking SP for mobile phones is not as tough as on tablets.
I bought 3 sets of SP for my tablet and all 3 went to the bin.
decided to pay extra for ppl to help me stick....

ya the sim card issue
*
oo... 3-7 days considered ok d.
I doubt they will take up to 7 days.
at least it's still under warranty.

now it seems like a few ppl is facing the issue is on
chipping plastic on the metallic area,
as seen from the previous threads.

need to jaga2 not to knock onto any hard surfaces unprotected.

btw, these stuff looks cool...

may i know, why do i check the internal memory on the phone is 11.88GB while the one stated at gsmarena, lowest is 16GB?
*
Some space is reserved for your OS. Having 11.88GB is normal.
If not enough, get microSd card and don't expect to get full 32GB,
you'll get arpimd 29GB++ from a 32GB microSD card.

even on your PC itself, you dont expect to get 500GB from a 500GB hard drive right?
after formatting, you'll be left with a capacity lesser than that.

You can check the temperature under the System tab and Battery.

QUOTE(toothgnasher @ Jun 25 2012, 09:02 PM)
ok, then this I9300 model, the size is 16, 32 or 64GB ?
*
i9300 is the model, which is actually GT-i9300.
The general name is Samsung Galaxy S3.
Other countries may be using other model number such as SGH-i747.

there's only 16GB model available in malaysia.
you can get 32GB model from other countries.
The capacity refers to the internal storage.

You can add on external storage in terms of MicroSD in up to 64GB.

sorry to interrupt...but have u guys seen the Intel smartphone? the spec is 1.6GHz/2.0GHz but it has a lower version of 1.2GHz. RAM is 1GB. it is now available in India, Europe & China manufactured by XOLO, Orange & Lenovo.

CPU isnt dual/quadcore but since its the x86 its the hyper threading where ur OS will read as dual core. thus, it really save battery power.
*
This is a discussion on s3 phones.
Why bother about intel smartphones?
You're on the wrong thread.

uncle will always b uncle
this is the truth

since u already got rid of it last week
why do u still come here to spam

ur post is not helpful nor is it informative
wat is it ur siggie says

how come u r doin it
*
Even if it's plastic or metal, if no proper care is taken, still will rosak.
Even metal will dent and glass will chip off.

From the touch of it, already know it's not really metal.
Else it will appear cold and the metallic colour is not like those 'stainless steel' surface.

I still love my S3. Probably planning to get a C-Pen as well.
And the wireless charger in future.
