lol...dude u gotto relax...i was like u before, got scared of every tiny little scratch and sound my comp makes but eventually i got over it ( i cannot remember how but i did) so stop worry and get on with life by molesting that beast or if you really are getting irritated by that sound get an ssd...(no sound at all)

Nope, warranty according to one of our forumer and a professional since he already did surgery to his very new G55VW is only on the heatsink.

If you're upgrading RAM or changing the 1TB HDD to SSD .. It's on the user accessible slot, no harm.

Different story if you're inserting MSATA (which is very very non user accessible) or extra 2 more slot ram (part time user accessible)

There is a pdf version available on Asus Support and eManual installed in the laptop.
