 WTA Blackout Curtains, How to tell its 100% blackout

All Salesperson says 100% blackout. how to tell?


Bought one from Jusco its dark but light still passes through.

Put your hand the another side of blinds. If you can see your hand shadow then it's not 100%. smile.gif Else, it's!

I actually looking for curtains. Held it against the light b4 i bought.

Cannot see the light at all. cool2.gif

After bought pasang its dark no doubt about it.

Its not 100% as 7a.m still got sunlight masuk.

Now thinking of returning. hmm.gif But where to buy?

What material of the blackout? Mind is something like plastic silver in color. Totally cannot see another side.

I've been to AVENUE @ PUCHONG a few months ago.
There is a curtain shop beside Crown Furniture (not Baagus) that sells 100% blackout curtain. Limited design though.
They have 2 types
70% and 100% blackout.
100% blackout 2 types also, can wash and cannot wash type.
Check it out.

Go to textile outlet such as Nagoya Textile. Ask the salesgirl for blackout fabric use for curtain. U may identify it by looking at the edge of the textile which threaded with black thread. The textile block lights 100%. The price is around rm8 to rm12 per meter. Labour charge for the tailor to custome made the curtain is cheap and affordable if not mistaken around rm4-8 per panel depends on the style you want.

Urs custom made or ready made? Mind sharing the brand?

The one bought from jusco not easy to tell 100% cause at the outlet i put against the light totally cannot see though . whistling.gif

At night its totally black. But in the morning can see light coming through except for the "pleats"/folded part(if i use the correct word). sad.gif

Somemore sales person will tell me 100% one. doh.gif

Yes Nagoya RM10.90 per meter checked it out. THe uncle says need 6m for 3 panel window. (maybe get 8m brows.gif)

(but no way to check if the really 100% until finish do already)

Labour charge so affordable? Didn't know tailor got do. Went to few curtain shop in 1U very expensive. doh.gif

You can find any tailor who can make curtains... it is way to cheaper.... than going to dedicated curtain shop...
