QUOTE(duckhole @ Jul 11 2012, 02:12 PM) I bought GW2 also, played the beta weekends, seems fun. I thought you have enjoyed D3? Why suddenly changed opinions? Will see which is more fun, GW2 or TL2 once i play TL2 Different type of gameplay though, lol. TL2 more to delete bad memories of D3. Still, i am on the fence for GW2 as i have never played the game before. Still looking for a beta key to try the game out myself before getting it. |

QUOTE(duckhole @ Jul 11 2012, 02:21 PM) Enjoyed <-- past stance yes. It was fun till they patched non stop to make the game more profitable for blizzard. I already got my $$$ from it, now abandoning ship, buying other games. I hope i dont offend you, but your comment about GW2 is exactly the same as everyone else been telling me. Such as, GW2 is awesome with a very engaging PvE and well balanced PvP, also the game emphasis on fun, instead of making it a grind. WvWvW is also very interesting to me, as i used to play Battlefield a lot. I guess it is because GW1 is an amazing game and Arenanet manage to fulfill what GW1 gamers wants in the sequel.I played GW1 for few years, was fun but more on pvp focused. GW2 has built a better PVE environment and a bigger PVP such as world vs world. Played the beta weekend, the wvw is like 50-60 players from each side ganking each another to capture castle, keeps, supply depots. The PVE have random events appearing in each area in random times, sometimes will have mega big boss appear and the players all will go there and slay it, like 50 people whacking 1 boss... but the boss will make all the tank naked cause the tanks will die non stop and all gear breaks, lol. I would say GW2 will be worth your buck, only pay once afterall I found this blog post on GW2 blog and i would say, i am quite convinced that GW2 might be the game i want. If they keep to the golden rule they promised and dont pull the same D3 bullshit with Error 37 and mass nerfing for no good reason. http://www.arena.net/blog/the-golden-rules-of-guild-wars-2 Not to forget the frequent tagline, "If you like MMO, you should play GW2, but if you never like playing MMO, you must play GW2", kinda tell me that GW2 could be the "MMO" experience that i am looking for. Also, on the new Dynamic Events for PvE that made the game feels more like Skyrim's free roaming experience instead of the traditional MMO quest systems. Probably will worth my buck, but i think, the internet connection will be the major obstacle now because my housemates loves to ppstream everyday which ruin my ping to the point that i die in D3 for no good reason. Including a monk dying a lot in Inferno Act 1 with 6000+ armor, 15k dps and 700 resist because i cant run away from arcane or jailer where in practise, i should do alright. I sort of stopped Diablo 3 because i am losing a lot of money due to lag. I think i need to do something on my end. Sorry for going OT. :/ This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Jul 11 2012, 02:42 PM |

QUOTE(duckhole @ Jul 11 2012, 08:32 PM) gw2 is something which needs perfect timing on skills, especially in pvp. need to disrupt spells and chain combos. in gw2 the skills can combo already, it deals damage differently if you chain combo them. example: warrior can do spin the sword around them, something like yunero bladestorm, then they have another skill is charge to target. If you spin and press charge, it will spin and fly to the target, all targets on the way kena damage. real awesome. Heard about the combo system and it does sounds awesome. The combat is more action based, instead of the typical MMO's hotbar spamming?you cant play online games really with shit head housemates sharing the internet. i used to live with ppl when in college days, farkers would turn on torrents 24/7, you wanna surf the internet also cannot. just get a modem for some cellcard and play. don't share with those retards. Thats the problem with this kind of people, if its just online gaming is affected, i will not be that pissed over it as at the end of the day, its just games. However, this affected my studies back then and now, my job hunting are being affected by these people's irresponsible attitude. I am sleeping at 5am these days because i want to play some of my multiplayer games online. If not, whats the point of buying original multiplayer games to begin with? D3 officially join the ranks of underplayed multiplayer games. 3G isnt sufficient for games, though, you still need a land line as it is much more stable than 3G. Either way, i am screwed, so, looks like i'll miss out another gem in gaming. Even if i get GW2, i'll probably end up playing alone because no one will want to do dungeon raid with a guy that will drop off anytime. |

QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Aug 25 2012, 01:35 PM) Why not? TL2 looks promising so far. I pre ordered TL2 at full price long ago and just pre purchased GW2 last week. The problem is, i am currently absolutely overwhelmed with games. I have Guild Wars 2, Sleeping Dogs and Galaxy on Fire 2 for a while. Then, today, i got Planetside 2 Beta, with Torchlight 2 on the horizon, my gawd, i dont even know how to find time to juggle with 5 incredibly awesome games.Show support to Runic That still doesnt consider the fact that other potentially good games such as Hitman Absolution, Dishonored, XCOM, Project CARS and Hawken yet. |

QUOTE(Boldnut @ Aug 25 2012, 06:47 PM) heres the tip for u 2, increase ur taste requirement, be more picky. Dig the game drawback/disadvantage and see if u can accept or not. If no accept = No buy, = less game purchase = save money = more chances to finish the best of the best u have picked I am already very picky when it comes to games, so, i do not see a point of going further. It is just that there are a lot of really great games coming out at the same time.QUOTE(Misfit @ Aug 25 2012, 07:08 PM) Just to add.. It would be wise that to prioritize what game to be play. Jumping to any bandwagon is never good. I also once like this, but then lost a lot of things in real life I always prioritise on one game before i move to other games, just that there are too many to focus at the moment. |

QUOTE(Misfit @ Aug 30 2012, 11:11 AM) What you said is correct bro.. And the chef is working at Arenanet and Runic now. If to put metaphor, Blizzard North is the Chef... while the current Blizzard is the cook. The chef is the one that make the recipe, while the cook just.. cook things up! of what have been prepared. So only the chef can mix ingredient for us for a great Diablo Yea, at times, Guild Wars 2 does remind me of Diablo 2 as when ever i get a green loot, or their set item, i am always excited to find out whether can i use it or not. |

To be honest, what is there to spoil in an ARPG?
It has no story, no plot. Just keep killing the monsters. And it is nice chance to see how the classes work. Outlander does look fun, but i think i will stick with Engineer. |

Pretty much finished watching TB's stream.
I can confidently say that, Torchlight 2 is essentially everything what made Torchlight 1 amazing, but even better than Torchlight 1. Love some of the new insane weapon attributes, like Augmented Weapon, Slience, and AoE Stun. Saw some nice synergy between items and skills in TB's stream. The engine does look amazing now, especially the new lighting system. Hopefully this would mean that i will finally get a decent sequel to Diablo 2. Since i am an engineer in real life, I'll probably play Engineer, as this is definitely the first time that i see an Engineer class that is fun and badass to play in a game. Instead of Engineers in other games that can barely defend himself and fix tanks/turrets/dispensers.

QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Sep 17 2012, 06:59 PM) oh great, we have a "tank" nao. Yea, i will be playing as a tank, cause i like the dual handed abilities in the beta. It is so badass.I'll be playing a berserker, pet definitely a wolf. Anyway, watch TL2 by Force? Probably secondary as a summoner with the medic bot to regen health. The spider mines are fun to kite enemies too. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 17 2012, 07:04 PM |

QUOTE(Vyrnach @ Sep 17 2012, 09:35 PM) Might be going Outlander again since it was the most fun to play for me in the beta. There should be a poll for classes or something Is it really necessary to have a subforum for every single game? The whole subforum list is filled with dead forums, and i do not want to see another added. |
