A lot of talks about ICE recently. I'm currently using the Pioneer 8450 with stock speaker. Can I upgrade the speakers without an amp?

How many percent increasement in quality? 

Would component sets that cost about Rm1k -> Rm1.5k run on my Pioneer 8450? Depends on the watts?

Congrats bro.can u recommend me speaker that can replace directly the oem rear speaker?im looking at a simple 6.5 " 2 way speaker.not too bright but at least better than the current oem rearspeaker which is a bit muddy n less detail.hehe if u got one lying around at yor house let me know oso.

By the way congrats on the stiffring..cant wait for my turn.

Haha front still maintain oem speaker.quite okla for now.but when i sat at the rear i couldnt hear well the music from the rear speaker.so need affordable solution.hehe.any idea..hehe no boston yet.

Amin.... if you not changing the speakers for fronts, nor adding amps.... i would recommend you to play with the fader setting to increase the gain to the back, then turn up the overall volume...Are you using VAPS?? Set it to ALL to improve the staging and "volume"...

Adding a 2 or 3 way (3 way will be overkill for your setup la) will not result in louder music, it improves clarity and detail but u will find the volume is actually reduced (again, you are not driving the speakers with amp)...

Also, the rear speakers are supposed to be fillers, they are not supposed to be louder than the fronts... the overall sound shld come from the front.... in HT analogy (since you are a HT fan), its akin to having big floorstanders as your surround speakers and your bookshelf surround as fronts...   

Finally, add a tweeter, this alone will improve the sound details esp if you are seated at the back....

My Hu is stock Clarion, you car have TWO Alpine HU stacked on top of another.... fuuuyoooh...     

Dont bluff..... i saw TWO Alpines stacked, both have volume control and similar button layouts.....
