we consumers just want all to innovate. that includes saling copy mengopy antara satu sama lain. patents are anti competitive and to me should be abolished. i copy u, then innovate, followed by u copy me, then innovate. the old fashion competition. consumers benefit what.
How would you feel if your artwork which you poured so much effort into was chopped with someone's name on it? Same case here for the Apple-Samsung war. Tim Cook said Apple had deliberately tried to warn Samsung many times before pursuing them in court, and they even offered Samsung to license their patents. They chose to sue Samsung as a last resolution to protect their values and patents.
Does Apple's win stagnate innovation growth in the mobile sector? NO. First of all, Apple is the one who started the market, and Samsung is one who improves this market. Take a look at the iPhone introduced on the year 2007 which had changed the mobile landscape, the iPad which popularized the tablet market. And what market did Samsung started?
Samsung is guilty. It is proven in court and copying the iPhone on their Galaxy S and devices proves their desperation to catch-up to the smartphone market. However, their claim that their loss only stifles competition is definitely wrong. There are many ways to innovate and create stuff, or at least they can license those patents first!
