QUOTE(xin @ Jun 22 2012, 01:54 PM)
Used to be Apple is an industry leader where other manufacturers try to catch up with them. Now it seems Apple is catching up WITH A PHONE RELEASED HALF A YEAR BEFORE IT.

Of course iPhone5 will be better than S3. No doubt about it. Half a year to prepare, man. If it's not better, Tim can go jump off a cliff.

The correct thing to say would be, "Foxconn CEO Says The iPhone 5 Will Be Better Than Samsung's Galaxy S III and Yet-Unreleased SIV". Where are your ambitions, Apple?!
QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Jun 28 2012, 01:48 PM)
Yeah, same experience here when trying out friends Galaxy Note also feel that Android is actually quite not user friendly. When I go into the application menu my eye become like this --->  rclxub.gif  Maybe too many row or column of apps and I found that I want to find one apps maybe Setting or Gallery also hard to see maybe I used to iOS 4x4 biggrin.gif
LOL, later you don't know how to use  biggrin.gif
*
Let me get this right. iPhone 3.5" screen 4x4 icons. Note 5.3" screen and you still expect 4x4 icons? laugh.gif of cos, you can change to 4x4 if you want... there is a CHOICE.

QUOTE(xin @ Jun 28 2012, 03:02 PM)
+1 , i tried using Android and cant really brain it although i need a few days to settle down. Compared to when i first use iOs, it is very user friendly and it takes me a few hours to a day to understand the interactive

Steve knew that to make a successful phone, he has to target the majority of users. And the majority of users are SIMPLE PEOPLE who are afraid of complex things. He was right. Look how well iOS sold.

QUOTE(burb @ Jun 29 2012, 12:58 AM)
haha... thats y i willing to spend on iphone accessories but not android accessories.. cos knowing the phone wont last long before i sell away...
*
You do know that iPhone5 cannot use current iPhone chargers, right?

How much is iPhone charger, come on......

I guess you are not aware that Phone Specs is not longer a dependency to determine the user experience. Go figure, I believe you are smart enough to digest since you can post a wall post above
*
Wall post? You think this is FB? laugh.gif

Phone specs IS a dependency to determine the user experience. 4S is smoother than the already-so-damn-smooth 4. No? sweat.gif

I believe Apple does not need to play any catch up with anybody. They set the trend, not follow others. To say that iPhone 5 (or what ever name they will give it) need to catch up with S III sounds so funny. Look at the trend, Apple dish out the original iPhone, other manufacturer tries to copy it after an overwhelming success. Before iPhone, all manufacturer tried to copy Blackberry. Even Google's Android prototype phone resembles a Blackberry with qwerty keypad. Apple introduced Siri, others try to mimic Siri.
*
Exactly, that's why I think this Terry what's-his-name Foxconn CEO has something against Apple. To say that iPhone5 will put S3 to shame is so insulting to Apple! To compare a new phone with an old phone! WTFBBQ

Both are new phones to their respective makers. comparing the latest and about same par is always feasible for users. Doesnt matter if Apple wants or doesnt want to compare...
*
By the time iPhone5 launches, S3 is half a year old already. Half a year is a long time for mobile phones. Should compare with upcoming S4 instead.

My Galaxy Wonder and LG 2X were both made in Korea. Written at the back. Battery finished in China.

ip drop lesser than other phone though...if u wan higher resell value, iphone is the choice x.x
*
That depends on how you look at it. It's like shares - price drop, some may buy, some may sell. For me, price drop fast is a good thing becos I buy 2nd-hand phones. Wait till it drops some, buy one, use for a few months, sell back and rugi a bit only (<RM100). Repeat with whichever newer phone I like, and play with new things. If I use 2k to buy iPhone4S, the price doesn't drop much, and the technology also stands still for 1 whole year (the interface still from iPhone3 yawn.gif )

Even the SAMSENG CEO also dunno how to pronounce galaxy properly.
*
Of all the offensive statements here targeted at Samsung, this one takes the cake. So what is the correct way to pronounce Galaxy? Is it your way? American way? British way? Bahasa way? Korean way? This really reaffirms the opinion that iFans are a bunch of arrogant SOBs. I never believed it much but now I do. Fans who think they know it all and act like they're above others. POS.

Sharing is caring.

Why this Apple fanboy loves his new Samsung Galaxy S III

Since a lot of you don't like to read long articles, here are the last lines:
QUOTE
Many have speculated these new features will also be in the iPhone 5, but it’s anyone’s guess what the Cupertino kids will come up with. While we’re waiting, I’ll be enjoying my new phone.

so what about apple fanboy hates his new Galaxy SIII?
or how Samsung fanboy loves his new iPhone?
never care to read it? or just to point out one side statement?  shakehead.gif

everything must have pro n cons, its just samsung users love to be apple haters.
haters just gonna hate. no matter how good it is.
i repeat, Samsung user! not android user. because only Samsung user criticized apple so much.
and i dont see this problem with any other HTC or Sony Xperia user.
*
Haven't yet seen an S3 user switching to iPhone4S and saying he loves it hmm.gif

there are so many user sell their s3 to get 4S in the garage sales, dude
its either u didnt see it or u pretending not to see it
as i said, haters just gonna hate. no matter what people says.
your statement above is the prove. thanks for confirming and proving my statement.
*
No, I didn't read this whole thread. I just shared an article I read on Flipboard. I don't hate Apple nor Android, I use both. You seem to read a lot between the lines, maybe a bit too much. I wasn't even talking about users selling one device for the other, nor did I say traffic was one way. Chill la.

And you're welcome.

u r using traditional way of file sharing. instead of so troublesome to synch here and there, carrying arnd usb drives, why dun u use iCloud service?

fast, convenient and trouble-free.

or maybe u always work in isolated places. then different story lar.
if like that, better use pen and paper.

LOL

If want cloud storage, there's also cross-platform Dropbox, Skydrive, Google Drive, to name a few... why limit to iOS's iCloud?

and would love if the new iOS at least makes it possible to bluetooth stuffs with other devices, saves A LOT of hassle seriously. I wonder if there are any third party app that can allow sharing between an apple device and a droid? a non cydia app(that cost so much lol, and no guarantee they are gonna make it work with ios6 =/
*
Forget BT. Once iPhone5 comes with NFC, someone will write an app which allows transfer of files between any devices with NFC.

Hopefully.
QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Aug 11 2012, 03:52 PM)
It's really a cool apps, just bring the 2 iOS device together and bump the phone to each other and then it will create a connection like a bridge then you can send file to each other  thumbup.gif
*
I'm quite sure it will work between Android and iOS. I mean, these stuff are supposed to be cross platform! PC, iOS, Android, all the same.

But if that is true, won't the Galaxy Note be a FAILED product? They're even coming out with Note 2. Obviously there are people who demand big screens and yet do not want to carry a tablet around.

Galaxy Note 2 is a semitablet.
Dats why i dare S3 user last time to use Galaxy Note or Tab 7.7 if they really demand for big screen.
what if next time Samsung come out with Galaxy Nexus 2 with Quad Core, 4.3" screen? they for sure will revert back to 4.3" screen and start complaining about S3 screen being too big.
they are too arrogant with the quad core processor in S3, yet they said that screen is the main point. just because of quad core proc, they already forgot what they said during S2 era. how hypochrite. everyone dump S2 comfortabilty just because the processor is slightly below S3.
*
You seem very worked up about all this. Maybe S3 is a good marriage of big screen with quad-core. I also can imagine Apple coming up with 4.3" iPhone in the future and people will buy it and say it's the best ever. What's the big deal?

Android fans have this idea that great innovations and ideas from Apple should be shared with android for the good of the consumers! They think that copying is good for the consumers as it make the product cheaper.

But when is copycat ever good for the consumers? Copying kills innovation as it results in nothing new.  Innovations happens when you are force to make something different and better.
*
Duh. Wasn't it Jobs who said, "We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas."?

where Samsung is heading with their phone functionality remains unknown with the recent lawsuit by apple. the way to operate their phone might change for the worst. the function you see now could just be 'remove' by a software update just to comply with the court ruling.

What function? Slide to unlock?

QUOTE(hailat @ Sep 16 2012, 08:55 AM)
with the launch of new ip5 finished, now is time for conclusion.

a) design
- ip5 wins.
s3 -  shape and 'designed for humans' is really FUGLY. materials used are plastic which is cheap and flimsy.
ip5 - design is exquisite with premium aluminum and glass materials.

b) display
- ip5 wins
s3 - larger screen but using ancient pentile matrix technology. droidfags claim cannot see difference. they are just chose to be blind.
ip5 - 4" RETINA. enuff said.

c) software
- ip5 wins
s3 - smart stay, is silly and not practical. it was a good try but ultimately the features are simply gimmicks. ics still lags, especially in picture gallery.
ip5 - so far, all iOS has been buttery smooth since first-gen. the APP STORE is best in the world. enuff said.

HALF-TIME SCORE
IPHONE 5 (3) - GALAXY S3 (0)

to be continued...after getting actual unit on hand.
*
What? All this 'review' is without actually using the phones? sweat.gif
And I don't think anybody can tell the difference between retina 326ppi and S3 306ppi.
