Me too. The problem happened after it was upgraded to ML

It takes a few seconds from sleep. The screen shows black colour with a cursor.

I saw those third party mini display port to VGA or HDMI (can't remember which) at lowyat stores. I wonder if is compatible with the current MBP ?

for those using rMBP, when you are using browsers other than safari and word processors (non iworks) does the text look pixelated? i know all apple apps have been updated to accommodate the retina display but wonder how other apps will look like.

I normally turn up my resolution to 1920x1200 if I'm using such non-retina apps. It helps to reduce the ugliness of the pixels.

Well, even if you were to stick with 1440x900, it still looks decent. You should try out the rMBP with MS Word first - to see if it is your cup of tea.   

To me, from a normal seating distance, it still looks workable. It's just that it looks awful when you are used to all the Retina-ready apps.

I normally switch to 1920x1200 anyways because I love the extra screen space. 

i make my hard disk to FAT format, but i cant transfer files @ 6gb, how to overcome it?

how to format it to exFAT? disk utility only have FAT format.

Hi there, I would like to purchase the mbpr but I wanted to ask for opinion since the scaling of graphic is processed by the processor is the ram consumption will be higher den average mac? If so is the 16gb ram upgrade option worth it?

this is exactly what i was worried about. Apple may have an excellent display but if other apps are not upgraded to be compatible with it, then we are limited to OSX apps that are. i was going to get a mba but since there are rumors that a 13 inch rmbp is coming soon, i waited. i guess from your experience (which is similar to what i do) i'll probably stick with the mba.

so you think i should just go get the mba instead of waiting?

Ok noted. My friend telling me the same thing but I just wonder is the upgrade really worth it? Or psycological effect to max it out lol.
there is a tweak/hack to overcame it =] I do it everyday with my dual screen setup in lion.

actually there isn't any laptop out there that match the hardware of rMBP. But I found that Samsung series 9 laptop do have some good review from many websites, which you can have a look into.

I'm having hard time to decide on the RAM upgrade as well... 8 or 16Gb? 
And looking at the price up from 2.3 to 2.6Ghz processor is so little... it makes me feel like upgrading it as well...

Hey guys..i am new user to Mac and i just purchased a rmbp..I need to use windows sometime because mac doesn't support software that i used..How can i install a window? Jus go find a usb drive and insert the window cd will do?
