Don't know whether I should keep/sell my MBP and get the new one...or just wait for a few years, can't really keep up with technology tho.

Those looking for BTO 2012 MacBook Airs, MacStudio have them in stock right now. These configurations:-

11" MBA, 2.0GHz Core i7, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD.
11" MBA, 2.0GHz Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.
13" MBA, 2.0GHz Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.

Price is as per BTO config at Apple Store online.

Got my BTO 2012 13" MBA from them (MacStudio LYP) just now, after selling off my Vaio Z. Going all Mac.

Wahh... you bought another 13" MBA after purchased the 15" MBPRD? How do you manage your work on both Macs?

People work on 2,3 displays on their Macs. I'm sure I'll manage. tongue.gif The right Mac for the right occasion. wink.gif
But buying 2,3 displays are different from buying 2,3 Macs... tongue.gif
But you made a better choice by getting the bigger 13" MBA coz I still feel the 11" is too small for serious
work.

I've had multiple Macs before, especially the 2010 models with Nvidia GPU on the MBA. Had 11" and 13". Funny thing was, I sold off my 13" and stayed with 11". But this time, with the MBP RD, it teaches me that screen real estate is prudent.

Initially, I was quite unsure whether 15" will be right for me Coz I used to have 2008 MBP previously and it was too heavy. But I think I have made the right choice.
But I am not sure why its still quite warm when using on my lap. Is it normal?

you've not felt warmth till you've placed an MBA on your lap while performing tasks with aperture / pixelmator. or simply watching a hd movie tongue.gif (although having owned every 15" mbp since the first unibody i've to say the 08' model came close)
Do you think running fan control will make any difference? biggrin.gif

Got a question... Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here goes...

Let's say I have 2 MacBooks, both different specs...
I want to put Macbook1's HDD together with its data to Macbook2...
What's the best way to do it?

Copy an image of that HDD with an external drive, insert that HDD to Macbook2 and format it then backup the data?

Thanks in advance...
*
How about backup to Time Machine?
Then use Migration Assistant using Macbook 2 to migrate data from Time Machine.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO GET RID OF THIS STUPID TINY SCRATCH?? IT'S TINY BUT IT BOTHERS ME DAY AND NIGHT.

That's why the first accessory that the people buy after getting their MBP is a protection. In my case, I quickly bought a leather sleeve to protect from scratches in my backpack.

For those of you who carries your MBP around everyday, is the 15 inch too big and cumbersome. 13 inch is more convenient to carry around but I don't want to miss out on the Retina Display screen... Dilemma.
If only they have the 13 inch  Retina Display...
*
Of course 15 inch is big but the new Retina MBP is lighter than the previous 15" MBP.
I have used 13" MBA, MBP 15" (2010) and now owning a 15" MBPRD.

I tried to carry the MBPRD on both Messenger type bag and Backpack.
I guess carrying on Backpack for long trip would be the best way. tongue.gif
