Thanks for the feedback smile.gif

Will ponder over it a few more weeks before deciding...

I don't know. I think it is. Usually I have my brother doing all this for me but he's out today. I'm on my own and I'm a gadget-retard... What if it is and what should I do? Something to do with format? I cannot because I need all the photos inside, is our wedding photos.
*
if you can't format it then you have to download NTFS-3G

I am going to cry. My brother bought me Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac today. I installed it successfully (so very proud of myself) but now I cannot get my Mail / Outlook to sync with my Hotmail folders (besides Inbox)... I feel so helpless now.

So what format do you guys choose for your external hard disk?

I tried HFS+ but whenever I wanna use on windows machine I need to install macdrive on it.
Then I change to ExFat, the performance doesn't seem as good as HFS+ and some of my windows laptop couldn't detect it, it detect as non-formatted partition. Weird.
*
it depends on which platform you use it more.
if windows then NTFS if mac then HFS+
for my situation, i never use windows so my external HDD is all in HFS+ format

I remember when photoshop was happy with 4GB of RAM.  Now they're happier with 8GB of RAM.

It's better ot have it for " Just in case purposes ".

Quoted from https://discussions.apple.com/message/18770392#18770392

Anyway, just go with what you can afford. Everyone knows BMW is better than BLM (Saga), but budget is one important factor to consider about for majority people.

Ask yourself, is 16GB RAM upgrade worth RM600 for you?
*
very helpful, i don't need a 16GB CTO now biggrin.gif

get drop by lowyat to get Value or Apple Certified Rams.
if you're getting Value Rams, make sure you do a memtest before leaving the place to make sure its functioning well on your Mac

Hey guys, does the early 2011 13' MBP (core i5) support 16GB RAM (2x8G)? I'm currently using 8GB but still feel that it is not enough for my tasks. If it does support, will Kingston Value RAM works?
*
i heard some users done it successfully.
not sure which type of RAM they bought though
