optical would make the phone become even more bulky. Thats why they uses the pixel oversampling to create the lossless zoom

Not sure, maybe it is the phone problem. But my earphone also doesn't work on my PC also, same problem, cant insert to the max. but it works well on my Sony Ericsson w995 and Galaxy Note. Just hope my earphone ath-ckp300 can work on Nokia 808 cuz i believe the bass will be awesome

Any idea where we can download the sample video file to test it with ?  Or does it decode typical DTS or Dolby Digital format as well ?

Actually nokia 808 should be better than Lumia 900 right cuz it has Custom equalizer, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Headphone
*
Dolby Digital Plus
Main article: Dolby Digital Plus

E-AC-3 (Dolby Digital Plus) is an enhanced coding system based on the AC-3 codec. It offers increased bitrates (up to 6.144 Mbit/s), support for more audio channels (up to 13.1), and improved coding techniques (only at low data rates) to reduce compression artifacts, enabling lower data rates than those supported by AC-3 (e.g. 5.1-channel audio at 256 kbit/s). It is not backward compatible with existing AC-3 hardware, though E-AC-3 decoders generally are capable of transcoding to AC-3 for equipment connected via S/PDIF. E-AC-3 decoders can also decode AC-3 bitstreams. Only the discontinued HD DVD system directly supported E-AC-3, though Blu-ray Disc offers E-AC-3 as an option to graft added channels onto an otherwise 5.1 AC-3 stream, as well as for delivery of secondary audio content (e.g. director's commentary) that is intended to be mixed with the primary audio soundtrack in the Blu-ray Disc player.

its just a codec and this enchancement only works if you have the right accessories. Dolby headphones is extra and even you have the haadphone and the audio is not 5.1 AC-3 stream you wont hear the difference

Maybe the custom equalizer will sound alittle better

Not sure of 920 since no unit to try. But I'm shocked and surprised at 808 when plugged in earphone.... It's so clear and detail. I was not listening to music the first time, I was just watching YouTube video... I never expected such clean & clear sound.
Can't really remember 900 audio quality, didn't really tested it but have return the unit back.

Anyway, found this:
