I used Windows Mobile since it's first version; Microsoft was never about controlling and limiting users. WP is totally different, but then based on WP problems and design, it seems as if the project was done by some outside company or something because there's some flaw in their DB Contact design which shouldn't happen to a company like MS which have own DB software and they even teach proper DB Design in their courses.
Anyway, WP7 is very much like iOS, where iPhone is just an iPod Touch with phone feature, WP7 is the much improved Zune Media Player with phone feature, instead if basing it on a smartphone or proper Pocket PC. Probably they wanna "follow" iPhone, since iPhone is successful....
Fuji X100 is a 35mm and using APS-C size sensor, so it's giving about 50mm focal length in 35mm format. It's totally different with fixed 28mm handphone camera. Have you tried using 808 at widest angle all the time? Notice the distortion?
Anyway, I'm sure the Lumia 820 and 920 still can zoom, just that it won't have similar 808 PureView lossess zoom technology.
With 808 PureView, it's not the 38MP or 34MP, when I'm using PureView 8MP, I can get the same true 8MP quality even I zoom to the max. That's a big difference here if you were to compare.
I'm also choosy, but it doesn't mean if it attract me it would attract others. I think we should be open and understand each person has different needs. Sometimes, even we think the product was very good, it doesn't mean everyone will like it. There're many different category of users, hence, why there is many different category of products. That's why I find it weird that Nokia once understood the need to different person and they used to come up with different product for different category of people, suddenly locked down and use only WP.

Why is Nokia 808 called Nokia 808 pureview?For it's over sampling and lossless zoom? That's the only thing u can do on a 808 pureview in pureview mode.
I have a 808 with me in the camera setting there a full resolution and pureview.
So conclusion it's a twist so now he twist phase 2 is u remove your key ingredients replace the new ingredients then call it pureview phase 2?
In pureview u can choose 8mp,5mp and 3mp.
True in 8mp pureview I get a true 8mp in zoom. With 920 is it digital zoom?
