im not a fan of iphones or anything from apple, but not classifying it as a smartphone just reeks of narrow mindedness.
anyway, wiki's classification of smartphone includes everything.

but back to topic...my 808 crashed again last night while trying to send an sms...zzz.

I have noticed the fish-eyed images problem. but most of the time you won't see lah unless you focused the problem too much
but for me, I'm oke with the fish-eye. I'm still mad with the blue noise at ISO 800 sad.gif

To the hardcore 'budak kipas', iPhone sure is the best no matter what; but to me, it's still not a smartphone. It's just a mediaphone, and the camera I won't say it's bad, but it's has very nice display (one of the best) and the camera is really easy to use and smooth performance. For most users, they don't need good camera or quality pictures, as long as it's easy, smooth and fun to use, and show up nice in their phone display.

mine only experienced once when i took a photo and it crash when saving the photo. pull out battery and restart turned out the photo was indeed saved but the OS somehow freeze.

otherwise it's been solid for me. but i don't use any mobile data at all and keep my phone in 2G mode all the time. not much apps also apart from the one nokia store gave for free and few extra utilities i installed.

it's common for wide angle lenses. i've seen those taken by Canon 1D MkIV and the lens the camera guy used literally makes people captured at the corners stretched out pretty badly. happens when taking objects that's quite close to the camera though.

no experiences on the blue patch thingy apart from one time where i need to take a nice incandescent bulb lighted scene during a supper. i always tried to take photos around my desk when the lighting is dim just to test out the camera and so far no blue patches yet.

photographing is not my hobby la haha. the light painting also nice but i don't have the tripod for it (no gift despite buying from Nokia Pavilion, i've read that pavilion giam siap don't give gifts sad.gif but anyhow bought it so no regret as i don't think i'll ever need it biggrin.gif). i'm a musicians so practicing instrument already not enough time. to me a good camera will give me good memories of all the things i snapped. i particularly like to snap foods as i'm very into nice foods, even traveling also only remember the food hehe.

those are pretty nice photos that said. i once set the phone wrongly and took a night photo of a building but ended up the long exposure making the building looks like it's on fire. sadly i deleted it. sweat.gif

actually i think the tripod mount isn't really a complicated stuff, should be able to get generic one or order original one online for not much money. will get later if i see the need, although i doubt so. laugh.gif
