Hard to say, but on stock ROM looks like S3 is slower. Anyway, in that post I already suggest S3. Some people face lags and some people don't so hard to comment on that. Can't just say one X is laggier also.

In benchmark S3 is faster, but benchmark won't really matter in real usage.

Screen - Desire better.
Camera - X go better.

Used Motorola atrix, dual core. But it doesn't even have official ICS, only unofficial 1 got.

If this matters, then can consider used Sony xperia U. Since it's newer, it probably have some leftover warranty. But only if you're ok with the limited storage space considering it doesn't have a card slot.

Another choice is used SE xperia pro, 8mp camera + slide out qwerty keyboard.

If all these isn't important, go ahead with nexus S.

Edit: Oh ya, there's also xperia sola. I vote this over the nexus S.

Sorry for that confusing post.

I say sola is the best overall, dual core and everything is fine. Except got no front cam.
Atrix got dual core, but no official ICS. Camera is not so good for 5mp.
Xperia U got dual core, but limited storage space.
Xperia Pro got slide out qwerty and 8mp cam. Single core.
Nexus S got a lot of custom ROMs to play with and pure google so it will get latest updates fast. Single core.

If wan_109 is ok flashing to unoffcial ICS/JB for atrix, I guess that's the best for him. Got 1gb RAM some more.

Worth it, price difference quite big compared to ori. Can also consider ori Sony xperia P, camera quite good too.

16gb is good enough for me.

Around 1.2k for xperia P. The sensation ezmeer mentioned is non-XE, just normal 1. XE around 1.4k I think, but u get free ori beats headset if I'm not mistaken.

U can also Motorola atrix, RM7xx ori set. Dual core and 1gb RAM! very worth it! But camera a bit poor even for 5mp.

Everything also the Sony better except for screen, it's smaller. Build quality also I dun think so, usually Samsung build quality better.

Usage? How long are u gonna use the phone? If just 1 year or so, acro S will be good enough.
The built in battery should be alright unless u are gonna use it for few years, can ask the service centre to help u put new battery. Quite expensive lor like that.

So for long term, S3 since it got quad core proc. Short term, acro S. Acro S got better camera and those waterproof dustproof stuff.

Original atrix, around RM800 or lower.

SE xperia ray or pro.

Totally not worth it. Xperia mini almost same price yet much better.

Screen - Arc S
Batt - Arc S
Price - Sola cheaper
Camera - Arc S

Or mini pro and live with walkman.
