Is it HTC Desire C is good choice ?

HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S III, Google Galaxy Nexus or Motorola Razr Maxx

1.5k (with digi plan for certain models)

Not really particular with the spec except that must be atleast dual core

Good sound quality, durable, a lot of custom roms upgrade options, if possible no hardware problem (example like iphone 4 signal issue about 2 years ago), good battery life under heavy usage.

Sony xperia U. If u dun mind 3.5" screen, no sd card slot and small internal memory(considering that it doesn't have a card slot)(only 4gb).

One V / Desire HD.
One V comes with ICS, while Desire HD is stucked at Gingerbread.
I have faced performance issue on Desire HD, anyway.
Not sure about One V (comes with less RAM!)

For my auntie who is currently using Sony Ericsson Hazel J20i.

She wants a smartphone but easy to use for aunties and from someone migrating from a candy bar type of phone.

Touchscreen seems to be quite hard for her. So I wanted to recommend her since it has big keypads but with a smart phone function but 1 shop said it is not easy to use a BB.

imma android fag,but i dont quite like the samseng user interface,make it so slow,so maybe htc is a better choice,or wait for the next nexus.

agree... having used Wildfire, DesireZ, S3 and ipad with me... in terms of smoothness ipad still can compete with S3...  i find even i whatsapp a lot in 1 session with photo or video transfer the S3 cannot go back to home smoothly... the whole launcher will restart, after i press the home... while ipad goes back to the home screen a lil slow but still in my comment it is still slightly better than S3... Single core 1GHz (256MB RAM, 16GB internal with less than 1GB empty space left) vs Quad core 1.4GHz (1GB RAM, 16GB internal with more than 10GB left and 16GB Ext SD with less than 3GB left)... almost similar resolution screen some more... who is smoother and faster in the windows transition... haha...
cheers... I still like my DesireZ even though just got my S3... flimsy and plasticky vs robust and solid Alu UniBody...

they should put more RAMs instead of Build in Storage... it is just another SD Slot which we could not access anyway... 1st i got confused y my custom ringtone wasn't in the SD later realize, it was the Ext SD which we slot in ourselves... the SD is the so called build in storage, finally copy and paste it into the internal SD solved... there goes my regular ringtone...

my DZ rooted but it is a pain in the arse to S-Off the unit...
i do not really know why ppl still always believe in benchmarks... well it tell what you get in the spec...
but in the GUI story it is different, u need to try out to see...

i could not believe myself also when i see the S3 lags in front of me eyes... sometimes it's speed really like as slow as Ray or DZ when i press the home button to go back... sometimes my iPad (Gen1) runs smoother than it...

still waiting for a fast fast RAM phone...

Haha... 1st time heard ppl blame it like that... funny... it also serve to recall all the recent used apps... duh... like i duno...
the home button main purpose is when i press it goes back to home... and it lags, sometimes more than 2~3 secs... a top range phone should not be like that... the launcher was not keep in the memory for some reason...
don give stupid excuse... y other brand don have this problem on single core or dual core or quad... the lag is lesser...
is the customization problem... and the multitasking, is useless... skype, browser and some other apps restarts even i swap it to whatsapp or sms for texting a while only...

BTW.... no point to argue too much with you guys... i hope i did not sell off S3 more faster than my iPhone 4S (4 days of usage only)... cheers...

Haha what an coincidence... I use to have a desire Z also until recently it'd destroyed in an accident  .  
IMO, its sometime smoother and stable than many phones including some dual core's out there in terms of UI experience.  So  not bad for a sub 1 ghz single core phone with only 512mb ram with sense on top of it huh...
I also have a Sony Xperia mini pro, with similar specs with lower resolution, its actually faster, but more inconsistent. it's lags here and there with no apparent reason and hampens user experience alot...

Btw, it's kinda dissapointing when s3=also lags... its the fast her phone so far, I think....

not sure... it is the fastest... still waiting for Desire S with S4 chipset... i think Sense is the most stable UI at the current moment... well of course AOSP is smooth also... so far i do not think i want to root it because of the bloatware that Stupid Samsung put in, main culprit causing the lag... my phone is running at 630+ memory in the RAM... which ~750 for our use only...
