- create a new database in ACCESS
- then right-click, IMPORT, select Excel - Locate your excel file and continue (follow the tip from the wizard) |

Oh... you need to do that in a programming/scripting environment, is it?
I'm not fimilar with ASP but for JAVA, you can do it with Jakarta POI. http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/ Read the data from Excel with POI and code something to pop it to Access. This theory works as I have worked with POI to read data from Excel and use those data to draw out some nice graph in JSP pages. Anyhow, if you opt for ASP; then I apologize of not able to assist much... |

You should split the problem into 2 portion
1) First you need to solve how to retrieve data from Excel. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...&NoWebContent=1 2) After solve the first problem, then you can start try to insert the data to access using regular insert statement http://www.stardeveloper.com/articles/disp...00032601&page=1 However there should be got some component which can help you to import excel data to access, but the above method is the fundamental. |

I used vba macro to do so
ADODB will solve your problem but the logic on how to loop among the cells is up to you |
