Hello all, I had maxis 10mbps with HG8240w modem since 2015, today technician came in replaced TG784n router to c5v router
Since I couldnt find out HG8240w's address, I used au.hx's method successfully https://h.auyong.me/networking/2016/12/05/m...ftth-setup.html
modem to custom router(rt-ac68u freshtomato 2018.3), custom router to maxis router(for voip)
other finding: in this method, custom router doesnt have to be exactly 192.168.1.254
There is no problem if both AC68 and C5v in different LAN IP-segment.Since I couldnt find out HG8240w's address, I used au.hx's method successfully https://h.auyong.me/networking/2016/12/05/m...ftth-setup.html

But there are advantages if using same LAN IP-segment (connect LAN to LAN) such as additional LAN port in C5v and easily manage the C5v in the same LAN, thus avoiding swapping your LAN cable.
You could change the C5v to an IP which is part of your main AC68 LAN segment, as well.
