QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 16 2012, 11:05 PM) Which Wireless router model will work with Maxis Home Fibre (without flashing custom firmware) out-of-the-box ? Get Mikrotik RB751G-2HnD or RB751U-2HnD and thats stock firmware out-of-the-box working with configuration applied. No free lunch.I haven't try Mikrotik with Maxis but RB751U-2HnD works for my UniFi. I guess you need to do some hacking/configuration to get the phone feature work in your Thomson. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 17 2012, 01:55 PM) These Mikrotik ain't cheap.... Read from klseet's website that TP-Link's W8960N is able to handle UniFi. I wonder if it works for Maxis Home Fibre (50% cheaper than Mikrotik) Yes they ain't cheap. You can read page 32 at http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/document/..._User_Guide.pdfCan enter the VLAN. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Aug 29 2012, 10:39 AM) I tried to configure Maxis VoIP sip on Media5 SIP client for both iPad and HTC android phone but unsucessful. Pleas update here if you can do it on other sip hardware. U know the SIP server address? And I guess you need to be in the correct VLAN.I see in Thomson, there is a DHCP IP range for 192.168.10/0/24 defined for VoIP. Please correct if I am wrong. |

QUOTE(acbc @ Sep 18 2013, 07:13 PM) Will this method from TS work with those using Astro IPTV? probably astro iptv using different vlan # than hypptv (unifi iptv).Mine was installed earlier today and using same Technicolor TG784n v3 router. So far, I disabled the WiFi and opt to use my Apple Airport Express as the AP. Behind the Technicolor TG784n v3 router, Astro using Port 1 and 4. Airport Express using Port 2 and Switch using Port 3. According to the installer, Astro can use any port behind the Technicolor TG784n v3 router. I tested and found this to be true. Now, here's my problem... I have an Asus RT-N66U previously using Unifi. Will it work? I need to keep the phone services as well. According to Asus config, it states LAN3 as VoIP and LAN4 as IPTV. Huh???? |
