If I have an Asus RT-N13U with DD-WRT custom firmware, how can I connect/configure the router to use Maxis Home Internet? My BTU is Huawei HG850a.
Anyone with an input will be much appreciated, thanks.

QUOTE(thamch @ Jul 18 2012, 10:06 PM) If I remember correctly, DD-WRT doesn't support VLAN more than 15 yet. Thus it cannot be used. Unless you are able to hack the Huawei BTU to reconfigure it. Bummer. Thought I could work my way around it without having the need to hack/access the BTU. So there's no other workaround to this? This post has been edited by reagan87: Jul 18 2012, 10:34 PM

QUOTE(kenjixx @ Jul 19 2012, 08:53 AM) default firmware... i did not recommend custom firmware because it can be a pain in the arse to setup and not to mention losing the warranty. 1.better stability 2.more option that a advance user can play with & having full control of the router 3.already have a router that suits the users and dislike the thomson router The problem is ASUS RT-N13U has the tendency to hang when using the default firmware. And if you look at the other thread, you can see people are still having problem with it.

I've somehow managed to get the connection to my Maxis Home Fibre through the Asus RT-N13U with DD-WRT custom firmware.
However, the speed is limited to max 5MB. I am not sure why, though.
