Hi guys, I bought a new custom router AC3150 to replace the Archer C5v that Maxis has because of the frequent disconnections.
Would like to share that while you buy new custom router and even though it says it is Maxis compatible, the Maxis VLAN settings on my new customer router is configured to fit if only you are on Maxis but with a TM infrastructure. And mine is not - hence I spent a few hours trying to figure out why I couldn't connect to the internet.
If you're in the same situation as me, recommend that you read this guide (someone above also shared this): https://h.auyong.me/networking/2016/12/05/m...ftth-setup.html It has the updated VLAN ID settings for Maxis internet with Maxis infrastructure.
Additionally, if you don't know the PPPoE username & password, you can simply call Maxis Call Centre and ask specifically for the PPPoE username & password.
Not a simple plug & play unfortunately...
Hope this helps!!
How's signal strength/stability on AC3150 compared to c5v?
