Interesting topic!

Just wondering, without touching the modem & re-use the Thompson, has anyone managed to setup all the 3 vlans on a router and attach it with a ATA device for normal phone?

I'm just wondering whether if it's possible to do something like this concept (as per diagram at the bottom page):
