Im not sure coz I dont have HG655a.. but u may refer to my config to setup ur ONT..
1st u need to create the VoIP WAN with vlan 822, connection type: DHCP
[attachmentid=3305492]

Go to VoIP setup and setup as follow:
[attachmentid=3305496]

Finish.

You can check the status of the VoIP WAN and the SIP:
If successful, VoIP WAN will get "connected" and the ip as well.
[attachmentid=3305497]

VoIP Status need to get "registered" then you are good to go..
[attachmentid=3305508]

the voip led shoud lid up and plug in the tel line to the ONT

Here is the HG665a setup at VOIP but i cant seem to be able to register my SIP

Anyone experience disconnect on Maxis Fiber VDSL ?

that only happen when i use custom setup. where

NETIS (VLAN ID 621, map to port 2 not tagged) --> Netgear r6300v2 (dial pppoe)

this setup works fine for months, until today it connect after reboot both device. then few minutes later it disconnect and it wont reconnect. i look into the syslog. it says received disconnect command from the ISP.

then when i change the setup back to original maxis one.
NETIS (VLAN ID 621, map to port 2 tagged) --> MAXIS TP Link Archer c5v

it works fine........
issue is, the stock router sucks. i would like to use my NETGEAR as primary dialer/router. and TM NETIS as bridge. but this setup seems not working.

i already send technical to maxis, wait them call back.

I am also getting frequent disconnects using the custom router on Maxis VDSL running on TM backbone. Any feedback from Maxis? Suspect they did something with the BTU.

is your BTU Netis or Huawei one ?

for now i revert back using Maxis stock TP-link C5v first. plan to get router that support proper WAN VLAN tagging.

since my previous router [netgear 6300v2] the switch only support 2 digit vlan only. even change to merlin firmware [they have maxis profile option with proper WAN port VLAN tagging] or ddwrt which only show 16 VLAN only.

i think they do some remote upgrade to the BTU, or they check for specific packets with tags..... on PPPoE, i can confirm is they will send disconnect command to our modem if no VLAN tagging configured [port map method].

I’m using Huawei’s BTU.

I have configured port bind and vlan tagging in the btu (my previous setup was only port binding). I also clone the MAC address from the archer c5v.

So far no disconnects

your router support wan vlan tagging ?

yes I’m using tplink wdr4300 but on normal
Mode. I have tried using the unifi (maxis on tm backbone) mode but it doesn’t work so I untagged the vlan in BTU instead of the router
