how to confirm ? kinda ask mechanic dip the condenser into clear water and pump in the gas and check for the air bubbles.
if no air bubbles, u get ripped off
how to check on air-con no pressure ?
the meh shouldn't dismantle the compressor before check the pressure, already buka , then hard to test already.
2nd method is check the inner holes of comp, if it's black , get replacement, if it's clear, shouldn't be change unless there's is no pressure.
make sure ur coling coil is washed and dryer ( filter ) get changed.
btw, 900-1000 is quite reasonable. if everthing spoil

but, this few days, i found the compressor is leaking oil. at night, i put paper under the compressor and found, it is oil leaking.

i believe the compressor will not dead in 1 month (as warranty given), but it definitely kill my compressor in 1 year or more.

i wonder already 3rd still gave leaking ? most probably is not a refurbish comp. i really confuse on the condition of recon comp . share the pic if u dun mind. leaking oil means leak gas as well . becuase our air-con system shouldn't be an leak at any point. or else . ur air-con system will eventually stalled again. waranty at least 3 months for recon comp bro. this was really so called black shop .

if found out that insufficient gases, should be leaking on any of the air-con part,
first, check physical by eye to see the condenser and comp have any leakage, if no, then we have to suspect on cooling coil.
ur mechanic should tell all the problem may face and not to just say ur air-con is need to serviced .
pls bear in mind , insufficient gases means leakage.. i really hate this kind of mech dismantling all ur air-con part without ur consent, that's really sucks. for me, he is not proffessional at all.

but why your's hike up 250 for servis and another 60 fo gas ?
