It's a con job. I think the air on man is not experienced enough.
Good AC man should diagnose first. Check for leak before telling, ' u need to replace evaporator ,'only after dismantling it out. Normally AC man don't simply replace it if it's not leaking. Did he check the gas pressure during diagnosis?

Putting wrong gas pressure proves that this guy is no good. Normally, AC man have a handbook of wat pressure for every car possible. Has this man got handbook?

How old is your car?
When AC was last serviced?
How's the wind speed from blower?

There's absolutely no reason to change the evaporator since there's no leak. Should be cleaned n use back.

And, the rm 250 for service asked initially is pretty high too. Service n gas will cost rm 330 is too much. Normal service only 1xx Max. Gas 60 is OK.

What I think is, probably the recond compressor is not performing. Or temperature
sensor faulty, o wrongly placed.
Shop u visit is not pro in AC, seriously.

good point on blower..

before service, the blower is good even at level 1..
now i hardly feel the wind at level 1.. set to level 2, then only i can get same level 1 last time.. but at level 2, i can hear the fan run very fast and noisy which previous only happen at level 3 and 4...........

This is bad. After service aka cleaning the evaporator (cooling coil), u should get more air flow. Installation not done properly?
Unless AC filter added, otherwise this cannot happen.

Suggest u get them settle the problem, cuz u have paid so much for it.
Go early n watch them settle, with the condition, not paying anything more.

Next time, do AC must go AC man, not those 'i do it all shop'.

Idiot shop....u better expose their name so that others will not fall in.
Maybe they gave u a crap compressor again. Pls be aware that compressor is the most expensive item in air con. Get them to replace it at no cost on u.
There's warranty even it's a recond unit.

Batusaix, what's in the whole set? If whole aircon system change, compressor, condenser, evaporator, blower fan motor, filter dryer....that's cheap.

why did u change the compresor ?
it's supposed to last. most of the time it's the evaporator that gives way first.

thanks for enlightening me bout the pricing :-)
