Last year's passengers traffic is 37 million passengers

Do you know KLIA can handle more than 100M capacity Passenger airport? 40M a year? can't even reach it 50% capacity

I say International Airport......World Class Airport.....KLIA are the most empty world class airport i ever see so far base on my travel experience...it so empty....so less passenger....

100 mill capacity is the target for phase 3 expansion. But they put that on hold to change the cargo terminal to the current LCCT.

The current KLIA handling cap is 40 mil. Will be 70 mill once KLIA 2 is done

You didn't get the point yet......KLIA was the Size of Changi Airport...even bigger than Changi....Changi Airport can handle 42M passenger a year and they still thinking the airport still big enough for them .... Malaysia KLIA only handle until 37M already want to make another new airport KLIA 2. When the KLIA 2 was finished ...it will make even more airliner go over there......this will make KLIA even less passenger.....so huge terminal inside all empty....like a Ghost Terminal.

This will very pathetic.......KLIA 2 "budget airport" will so many passenger so crowded while KLIA first class airport inside so empty.......Where got a country in this world thier LCCT airport handle passenger more than their 1st class airport.....

Not in KLIA but in the current LCCT -YES- damn jam. I hardly hv space for myself when few A330 landed almost smae time and jamming that area..

Changi airport floor area is 1,048,220 squared metre compared to KLIA's 514,694 squared metre

Changi airport is actually more underutilized than klia. current handling capacity is 57 million passengers per year. Last year's traffic. is only 42 millions passengers.

they are openning Terminal Four, increasing capacity to 73 million passengers per year.

I think it is good to build for the future. KLIA2 is gonna be where any future expansions shall take place. KLIA shall remain to cater for full-service airlines and cargo.

I dun see y we shud be unhappy about being a low cost airlines hub. It is good bizness.

still remember there's a road beside the KLIA runway where sometimes on d evening i go drive there with my wife (tat time still my awek.. huhue) to see the plane take-off n landing ... sometimes kene halau by their polis bantuan ..... where's now ady closed for this constructions ............

You don't travel much la. Most airport are designed to have that expansive and empty look. HK, Changi Airport looks relatively empty for T1, T2 and T3 (worse on the now defunct Budget Terminal). The two airports I have seen with non stop traffic would have to be KL LCCT and KKIA2. KKIA2 has way too much traffic for its size. If Changi Airport is nowhere near its brink, then why would they need to demolish their budget terminal to build T4?
